The Trump train came rumbling into Fayetteville Monday night as President Donald Trump and his Keep America Great Rally visited North Carolina.
With the reverence and excitement generated by few celebrities or famous people, the president addressed an electrified crowd of over 5,000 inside the Crown Expo Center and countless others who sat outside the building watching the 45th president on a giant screen. Trump delivered his own reverence for those who stood before him.
“Hello to Fayetteville,” Trump said. “It’s good to be here in North Carolina, share this night with you with the hard working patriots who believe in faith, family, God and country.”
Entrenched among the crowd was Harnett County Sheriff Wayne Coats, who said he was there to support the president and to listen to the message he was bringing. “...I’m excited to be down here,” Coats said. “It looks like it’s a huge turnout. We’ve got a lot of work (ahead) and he’s doing a lot of good things.”
Those in attendance were quickly drawn into the fervor, which was built up prior to Trump’s entrance by the likes of Donald Trump Jr. and Vice President Mike Pence. “It is my high honor and my distinct privilege to introduce my friend and the 45th president of the United States of America,” Pence said as the crowd’s response reached a pinnacle, “President Donald Trump.”

I thought I had read that the venue held about 10,000. I watched the rally and didn’t think it looked like 10,000, but it must have been partly closed off if they had a crowd outside as well.
Over here in the Charlotte ‘burbs, there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth because Mike Pence passed through and traffic was blocked in a dozen annoying ways just as elementary schools were letting out.
The discussion on my NextDoor feed has degenerated into a lot of personal shrieking and namecalling regarding people’s opinions of Mike Pence and what other people think of other people’s opinions of Mike Pence. People sure do act trashy on the Internet!
I was home until after 3:00 p.m. and missed the whole mess.
There was 5,000 folks inside and about five thousand folks outside viewing the rally on Large TV Screens...By the way the amazing “Diamond & Silk” brought the house down when they walked out on stage. Their routine was terrific and most enjoyable!!! God Bless “EM!!! Ditto for Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump, JR, VP, Mike Pence and of course, POTUS, Donald J. Trump!!! Trump gets more folks to his rallies, in one rally, more then the Democrat 2020 POTUS candidates, Deadbeat, Boring, Scum & Vermin draw in an entire month!!! Go, Trumpie!!!
No, they’d have howled about that, too. No normal person likes anybody of any party or affiliation to be screwing with traffic. I like Mike Pence, but I’d have been mad if I hadn’t been able to get from A to B because he was going from C to D.
I got stuck with an infant on an airplane in Orlando - must have been 2012 - because Joe Biden was coming to Charlotte that day. From the conversations, I expect everybody on that plane went on to vote Republican!
