Unfortunate as it is true, Democrats don't battle Republicans for the black vote. They battle apathy. Blacks vote Democrat or stay home. Which prompts two questions: Will Howard Dean, the third-generation Yalie from Vermont by way of Park Avenue, have a problem ginning up enough black support if he wins the Democratic nomination for president?

It's always somewhat amusing when a racial provocateur like Charlie Rangel, who shouldn't be allowed to hold the office of dog-catcher, accuses Republicans of "stealing" the 2000 election. Not only is it a lie, but few care anymore other then nutty Dems and other hallucinators. But thank God most Dems live in the past. It's important to visit the past from time to time, but to dwell on it is morbid...and fatal to Dems I hope.

Man they have us so focused on Dean that we are missing the 600 lb pound gorilla in the room. One that will ultimately defeat Bush if we just focus on Dean. Clark will be the candidate with a possibility of Hillary as running mate.

You are so right. Clark is the real threat. Dean is a decoy.

So are you voting because the Republicans are "pandering" or are you voting because you believe in individual freedoms and smaller government, (which is what the GOP used to stand for)? I would guess it's the latter. I agree to stop pandering to a voting block that you're never going to get. Let the message out and let the chips fall where they may.
