Meanwhile, Majority Leader Bill Frist (R.-Tenn.) and Senate Judiciary Chairman Orrin Hatch (R.-Utah) appear content

"appear content" is the operative statement. These two need to grow a pair and appear pissed off!!!

This is ALL we conservatives are asking for: Someone on the Republican side to stand up to the atrocities being committed by the Left. We're not asking for a Shock and Awe campaign, we know that Republicans need to get their sea legs first, but a step, any step, toward ending the dems. minority reign of terror is greatly appreciated.

After being informed, the Democratic staff did not protect their files, but we protected our files locally. Before then, the Democrats could access our files just like we could access theirs."

Lots of new info in this article. I hadn't realized that the rats
could access GOP files, too.
It also confirms that the Seargent at Arms only
has copies of the other memos, meaning the rest of them
may eventually see the light of day.

Sen. Rick Santorum (R.-Pa.) says he wants an investigation of the content of controversial memos produced by the Democratic staff of the Senate Judiciary Committee to determine whether the Democrats committed any wrongdoing in their efforts to block President Bush's judicial nominees

WOW! What a RAPID RESPONSE! Why it only took Santorum 2 months after Orrin Hatch took down his pants for Pat Leahy to finally speak out about this.

This is a huge scandal and of infinitely more consequence than the poodle press obsession with National Guard meetings in Alabama 30 years ago. Go Rick!

The RINO has a herding instinct when threatened from the right, they have never felt threatened from the left.

This is a new scientific discovery.... I think I'll call National RINOgraphic

Human beings are not calculating machines. They are subject to human frailties.

One of those is irrationality in the face of disgust. It is irrational for Republicans to sit out the election, letting Democrats win more seats.

Doesn't matter if it's irrational. There is some level of disgust at which everyone will do this. Many people are not that disgusted yet; some never will be. But the more disgusting it gets, the more people will fall off the Republican train. When Karl Rove says, "They have nowhere else to go," he's forgetting that they don't have to go anywhere. They can just stay home.

The arrogance of these Washington Republicans astounds me. They don't seem to have a clue how many natives are getting restless. Hatch has always been a spineless weasel. If it were just him, I wouldn't care. I expect him to be worthless. But if "our leadership has decided to try to get this initial investigation out of the way and that air cleared first, and then we'll assess options afterwards" means what I think it means, and what it does mean if Hatch has anything to say about it, I could get pretty disgusted.

Santorum, chairman of the Republican Conference, is the only GOP leader so far to publicly take a stand in favor of the Sergeant-at-Arms investigating the actual content of the Democratic Judiciary Committee memos. Sen. John Cornyn (R.-Tex.), a freshman member of that committee, has also suggested this be done.

The Republicans need to field more players like Santorum who want to advance the ball and put points on the board.

Majority Leader Bill Frist (R.-Tenn.) and Senate Judiciary Chairman Orrin Hatch (R.-Utah) appear content to let Senate Sergeant-at-Arms William Pickle investigate only how the memos came into the hands of Republican staffers--a probe that was inspired by the Democrats, serves the interests of the Democrats, and turns attention away from the far more serious question of whether the Democrats did anything improper in their efforts to thwart conservative nominees.

A good lesson on how to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I really had high hopes for Frist but man, how he has let me down.

WIMPS!

Manuel Miranda, former legal counsel to Frist...

On Friday, Rush mentioned that this dood is still communicating through some website - yet I couldn't find anything on Rush's website to confirm the whereabouts. Manuel ain't done fighting! I could become a big fan of his!
