Question: Why is America Targeted? (Al Jazeera has Dem talking points or vice versa)
Al Jazeerah ^ | May 30, 2004 | John W. Willmott

Posted on 05/30/2004 4:21:51 PM PDT by FairOpinion

This is addressed equally to many addressees and the U.S. Government as extremely vital information and an advisory to those at the highest levels of education, defense and Government. I am here because of the declining condition of American security, reputation, credibility, respect and prosperity brought on by flawed U.S. foreign policy, failed and or no diplomacy and the use of threats, strangling illegal embargoes, Presidential imperialist sanctions and the illegal, preemptive and unilateral use of the U.S. Military against other sovereign peoples and nations.

Some of you will adamantly disagree with my previous statement. That is your right just as it is mine to speak up when I see America now in a worse situation as regards to security and respect by other nations. This decline began before George W. Bush came to office. But when he came to office as “legal” de juris President by order of the Supreme Court with less than half of the popular vote and thereby, he had no “mandate” to summarily abrogate treaties, International Laws, threaten other nations to do it the Bush way or else and insult not only long time allies, opponents and those considered enemies or potential enemies. I base all of this on the “facts” as reported in news media and “facts on the ground” and the political and military and tactical and “terrorist” response that happened since he took office.

As of now, Bush’s illegal, preemptive attack on a contained, powerless nation which was no threat to America has met its “Waterloo” in meeting a people who were grateful for Saddam’s removal but due to American ignorance, arrogance and willfully, stupid and obscene acts in total disregard of human rights, Geneva and common sense are now determined to assert - to the death - their own sovereignty without Bush retaining final say over their future.

The American people, in blind ignorance- cheered on the “shock and awe” of American armor amidst red desert dust with flags flying taking over Iraq with virtually no resistance. Any good will vanished because Bush built a house of cards without the foundation of law, justice, respect for life itself and the approval of more than 5 billion of the some 6 billion of the world’s people.

May 24 at Carlisle, most of the TV media refused to air Bush who offered sovereignty but not sovereignty so again he offered nothing but his same colonialism by force which is outlawed by all nations after the defeat of Hitler for doing just what Bush and Sharon, his surrogate, are now doing. Security will come when Palestine is free as the U.N. provides and the U.S. abides by the law and will of the “World of Nations!” Please acknowledge, forward and comments welcome. I have more coming.

Do we need any more evidence?

Why are we targeted? Very simple--I don't know why anyone asks this question... It's because we've aligned ourselves with Israel. If we were to turn our back on Israel, the terrorism against the US would likely stop. Of course, the world would not be a better place, though.

He got something correct.

"If we were to turn our back on Israel, the terrorism against the US would likely stop. "

You are very wrong on that. We are still infidels. They want to eradicate all infidels.

Who is John W. Willmott and why should we care what his opinion is?

It appears I will never agree with al-Jazeera. They are simply more of the depraved monsters who are members of the cult of death.

Click on the link. It might not tell you who he is but it will show you where he's come from. I'd say he's a hero of the crowd that likes the fling around the "neo-con" title.

I doubt that very much.

I think terrorism would continue, because most of us are not Muslims, and they want Islam to dominate the world.

I did a Google search -- seems he is on the side of the Muslim extremists and hates Jews and America.

And writes for Al Jazeerah.

The sad thing is that the Democrats say the same things exactly.

Maybe he is getting paid by both the Democrats and the terrorists.

Nope, it's mainly Israel. It's the factor that unites all the disparate groups. That's not a slam against Israel, it's just the facts.

Yes, but in the short run, they'd have more pressing targets in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. The US would not be at the top of their hit list.

Disagree. If that was the case, than there wouldn't be Christians in Nigeria and Sudan being terrorized by this cult of Islam.

Why are we targeted? Ummmm... ask the people of Afghanistan, Lybia, Africa, Spain, and about 50 other nations under attack from EVIL. Anything that doesn't advance the agenda of evil, will always be under attack.

I don't know if you are being anti-semitic with a purpose or if it is a genuinely held sentiment .

The comment shows you don't understand the nature of the conflict. Islamic fundamentalism is on the move everywhere.

It is true that Isreal has been the favorite target but it isn't the only one.

Islam has been at war with the West for a generation. There has been war between conflict between Packistan and India,
There has been slaughter of christians in the Philipines and in Maylasia. There was recently an attack against the police by 200 armed insurgents in Tailand.

Militant islam would murder every Jew, Christian, Hindu, Zorastrian, Secular Humanist, Shinto, Atheist, Sunni , Pagan, Celt on earth if they failed to convert.

The only thing this has to do with the Jews, is they hate the Jew's slightly more because Israel has humiliated Arab/Moslem armies in 1948, 1956, 1968 and 1973.

Well then, why are Christians targeted in Pakistan, Egypt, the Phillipines, the Sudan? Why have Hindus been targeted in India for hundreds of years? Why did the Ottoman Turks menace Vienna in the 17th century? Aha, I have it! The Islamists already knew hundreds of years ago that Israel would be created and they were making a preemptive strike!

You almost have to admire his sophomoric prose:

I am here because of the declining condition of American security, reputation, credibility, respect and prosperity brought on by flawed U.S. foreign policy, failed and or no diplomacy and the use of threats, strangling illegal embargoes, Presidential imperialist sanctions and the illegal, preemptive and unilateral use of the U.S. Military against other sovereign peoples and nations.

And I'll bet the bozo had to inhale three times before reading that screed out loud. We would be more grateful if someone were here to save us from the author's preemptively, unilaterally, strangling, imperialistically turgid prose. Even an overdose of Ex-Lax couldn't cleanse the author of this piece. He also makes the gross mistake of counting America out too soon. That's been done before, but history is only recorded for those that want to read it.
