I am organizing a Bush/Cheney 2004 volunteer sign-up at a local event and was just told that the State office won't be providing anything but shirt stickers and bumper stickers. I hope to have about a dozen volunteers and would like to give each of them a Bush-Cheney hat or t-shirt for helping out. Since my personal funds are limited, I would like to find an inexpensive source so that I can bring enough for everyone.
I purchased at the online store but they're about $14.00 & up. Might get a little expensive.
That's what I've found so far. I'm certainly not opposed to the official campaign using their apparel as a fund raiser, but they ought to offer their volunteers a discount. The state office told me that not only do they not get a discount, even they have to buy all their Bush clothing themselves. I can't think of a better form of political advertising than to get their message on as many backs as possible!
I agree that "body billboards" would be most effective & maybe they could afford them if they'd stop all the mailers asking for donations. Almost every day I recieve solicitations for support. I donate but not three to four times a week for heavens sake!
