That is not ringing a bell with me, but that is not surprising. Watching her with Rock Hudson was so much fun...oh, and Tony Randell! They were all great together! Whatever Rock Hudson sexual preference...he was great working along side DD! Plus, he was great in "Giant" with Elizabeth Taylor.

"Midnight Lace"!
I like that movie, too.

I thought she had already passed away. Obviously not!
What's the deal with the advice about hunting? I don't even think he's done it since becoming President.

"And then Day advised the president that he'd get more votes if he'd quit hunting. "
Hey Doris - go shove it.
There's nothing wrong with hunting and being an animal lover is not incompatible with hunting. I do both and so do millions of oither people.
So take your dumb advice and shove it.

Doris Day? Wasn't she a 'main squeeze' of Rock Hudson's?...In the movies. :) They were good friends in real life apparently.

"Doris Day? Wasn't she a 'main squeeze' of Rock Hudson's?" No. She was in several movies with Rock but there was no romance. You're getting her confused with Jim Nabors.

That was "Midnight Lace" with Rex Harrison. She made "Please Don't Eat the Daisies" with David Niven.
She made alot of really good movies with Hollwood's top leading men.

I thought I made a post to you, but I guess I didn't hit the button. LOL
I wanted to say that my all-time favorite Doria Day movie is "Pillow Talk", but my next favorite is "The Thrill of it All".

Doris Kapplehoff. Another 1 of those terrible Germans. ;-)
Actually, I'm shocked. Much as I love her, I thought she was a (recent) leftie. Perhaps I just thought her animal-welfare approaches just too extreme to hope she would generally be conservative. So glad to find I'm wrong, here on FR!

Please, Please, Don't Eat the Daisies was very cute as well.
I don't know how many times I've watched all those movies...hundreds probably.
Midnight Lace was the movie where her husband was trying to gaslight and kill her.

Wasn't she a 'main squeeze' of Rock Hudson's?Rock Hudson would be far more likely to squeeze Tab Hunter or Liberace.

You're right!!! I forgot about "Daisies". Wow! Great memories. I used to love spending Sunday afternoons watching one after another of her movies. TBS would carry her films all day some weekends. Which was the one with "Vip"??

See post #12. You could learn something. ;-)

Jimmy and Gloria Stewart, George Burns and Gracie Allen, and Jack and Mary Benny. That's quite a GOP celebrity lineup.
