Class action suits are good for nothing but lining the pockets of fatcat trial lawyers, while allowing them to preen for the cameras and sqwawk about working in the "public interest".
Most (but not all) lawyers need to be introduced to the business end of a rope.

Wal-Mart is facing the largest class action lawsuit ever been brought against a private company. As many as 1.6 million women may join the suit and the possible payout could exceed $1 billion dollars. Largest in number of participants, I wonder? I'm pretty sure the (frivolous) Dow breast implant action went into the multi-billions of dollars.
