My gosh. Diabolical!
Part of the reason he's not in jail could be because of the DNA; she's adopted and I wonder if they have anything to match.
Why did it take this long for the coworkers to bring this phone call to light?
Not unless her doctor has a blood sample on hand.
I read in another news article that they told the police about it when they showed up at Lori's office to look at her e-mails and computer files, so the police were aware of the phone call on Monday.
Yes, I was the one who suggested that theory. It seemed the most plausible to me.
Thank you for remembering my theory. I have known some compulsive liars in my time, and they are obsessed with denying the lie...they will go to ridiculous lengths to cover up, rather than admitting they have lied. It seemed to me Hacking falls into that category.
Having recently been involved in running some DNA testing on family members to establish kinship, I know that there are many things inside the home that would provide DNA for the detectives to test again. A strand of hair with the root intact, a toothbrush, as well as many other common items, if available. If she was like the average girl, she likely brushed her hair in the car at times, and they could get DNA from there. I am sure they won't be lacking in DNA to test, though of course one would have to prove it came from her. The adoptee twist is interesting and sad. Think of all the birthmother's out there of daughters they placed for adoption who would be 27 now..how sad for them to be left wondering if that was their flesh and blood.
