A billioneers daughter, and a scho;arship? How ironic is that? I find this appalling, since htey are so rich, and should NOT qualify for this scholarship. What a waste, and fraud!

Being a Fullbright Scholar opens many doors, regardless of the money.

Thanks for the reminder. But care to tell us what kind of doors the scholarship will open for the daughter of a mega-rich senator that weren't already open for her?

Ease up folks. Perhaps she wants to study to be a Proctologist. No one can deny that she has had lots of experience around a**holes for most of her life.

Fullbright is no longer a good school

She's not going to Fulbright College. She's going to London to study medicine on a Fulbright scholarship.

Since her father made her a legal bastard, after the annulment of the marriage, she's probably qualified as a minority applicant.

So you're a proponent of rewarding based upon need rather than merit?

She might be ok as a nurse midwife but from what I've seen of her in public, no way would I trust her with my life.

She was studying medicine while the Bush girls were getting wasted and busted. She may be entitled to the scholarship, but if Kerry has any sense at all, he will have her accept the position and then forgo the money.

I am totally convinced she earned this on her own. I mean its not like she knows anybody who could pull a few strings.

HYPOCRITES-R-US

Kerry is all about the little people, ya know. He probably gets food stamps too since they have such an expensive diet.

The Fulbright Schalrship is a GRANT. It is TAX MONEY given to students to use for a specific purpose. Vanessa Kerry's parents have a combined net worth over a Billion Dollars. They do not need government money to educate their daughter. But of course they will not turn it down either.

She has a honker I've seen on few women.

I agree, the amount of acreage she's dragging around COULD equal the noses of three women. :)

John Kerry said Saturday that his daughter Vanessa has won a Fulbright scholarship "...and 3 purple hearts, and a silver and bronze star to be awarded later no doubt

According to the Fulbright Web site, about 1,000 U.S. students are awarded the federally funded fellowships each year ....

Here's what I found when I went to the website:

You've found the right place for information on Fulbright Scholarships, which are awarded by private sector companies.....
