New 527 Organization "MoveOnForAmerica.org" Exposes the Real John Kerry. Good Ads.

Quicktime
Reissfelder
Sharpton
Windows Media
Reissfelder
Sharpton

The first ad exposes John Kerry’s role in securing the freedom and parole of a would-be cop killer who escaped a Massachusetts prison during a furlough, just like Willie Horton!!!

MoveOnForAmerica.org will be airing its ads in key swing states as well as the Washington D.C. market. Since the organization is a “non-connected” committee, the ads will run non-stop until Election Day, and are not subject to the McCain-Feingold ban during the campaign’s final 60 days. The first ad will feature John Kerry’s role as a private attorney in 1982, when he secured freedom and parole for his client George Reissfelder who pled guilty to attempted murder of a police officer, but never served his 15-year sentence because John Kerry successfully secured his parole. The parole was in Florida because Mr. Kerry’s client had escaped during a furlough, just like Willie Horton. Once a free man, thanks to John Kerry, Kerry’s would-be cop killer client brazenly continued his life of crime as part of a Mafia-controlled drug ring.

The second ad, which will be aired at a later date, will feature the political alliance John Kerry has forged with Al Sharpton, focusing on Mr. Sharpton’s history, which was rarely mentioned during his 2004 run for president. Instead of the charismatic and witty Sharpton seen during his presidential bid, Americans will be educated about the real Al Sharpton, who recently blamed America for the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Sharpton who called Adolph Hitler “a great man”; the Sharpton who urged college students to kill police officers; and the Sharpton leading the picketing of a white-owned store in Harlem [calling the Jewish owner a ‘white interloper”], resulting in the store being burned down by one of Sharpton’s followers, killing seven people. The ad will include footage of Sharpton in his own words, and Mr. Kerry’s hinting of Shartpon becoming part of a Kerry administration.

Later ads will feature John Kerry’s raising political funds from known leaders of the Cali drug cartel, as well as other unethical [and possibly criminal] behavior by Kerry regarding his finances when he was dead broke between his two marriages.

I'm not too impressed. May backfire with some swing voters.

If these adds contain Black perpetrators that is one mistake. The second mistake is that someone has to review cases for early parole or,even, eventual release. It is an inescapable fact of life. Anyone who has done this, or served as an expert as to dangerousness knows the hazards.

The hazards are of the statistics and psychology of rare events. Statistically, you are a little better than chance at determining dangerousness unless you have an awesome data base. If you do better than chance at keeping people in who are dangerous, you will also have a similar percentage of people you keep in that don't need to be confined.

The psychological hazard is that even if you have only one serious recidivist in a hundred, that perpetrator will make the newspapers while the 99 successes will not.

Again, someone has to make these judgments. It is not only required but good Christian policy to give people another chance deemed worthy of that chance.

These adds will fuel the hostility to Republicans and Conservatives from both the minority and scientific communities. They should not be run!

This is a George Soros and Harold Ickes website. I think michael moore shot these ads and I believe katie couric served him ice tea and biscuits while he worked in the editing room on these.

Raising money from the Cali drug cartel? That will make for interesting reading!

This is pretty juicy though. Any thing that can bring to mind Dukaka and the evil Sharpton in association with Kerry can't be bad.

Note: Sharpton claims to be a man of God-I can assure you that its not my God.

Whose side are these guys on? See, this is what happens when stupid people get their hands on lots of money. Reprise the Willie Horton ad? Dumb, dumber, dumbest. And then jump on Sharpton? Why? To piss off black people? Sharpton is a non-entity.

With friends like these, Bush doesn't need any enemies.

I'd prefer we take the high road. These 527's are going to get WAY out of hand, IMO.

On the other hand, it does give Bush a perfect opportunity to stand up, decry them, and take the "high ground". He might even take the opportunity to explain the difference between these and the Swiftie ads, what makes the latter a perfectly valid complaint by those veterans.

Sorry, but these ads are off target against central themes of Kerry's campaign, confusing, and reinforce unflattering stereotypes of conservatives. They won't get any moral or financial support from me. I don't support running them in any state.

We've discussed these ads several times before. They are terrible ads that could only help Kerry.

However, these ads are great. http://www.pfavoterfund.com

I agree, ads like the Willie Horton one could backfire bigtime. Although Sharpton praising Hitler as a great man should make thinking people go hmmm. Its risky and maybe these guys are FINO's. Don't know who they are - yet -.
