I'm sure the "guard" story was supposed to be a one-two punch for CBS. The follow-up bunch of "documents" are probably fakes too, but they would've be rougher stuff. We might never see them now. The real folks behind the forgeries are getting cold feet.

If CBS thinks more forgeries will trump trying to push the original forgeries on the American people, they're idiots. In fact, whatever they come up with now will look mean spirited.

They're in a hole, they need to stop digging.

It's time for resignations, apologies, and a token conservative on staff. Only then will the healing process will begin...

Thank you! And even owning up to those things is not enough. An apology to the President would not be enough. What CBS & Kerry Campaign did is a crime and I fear that issue will be ignored. There will be no follow-through and both organizations will skate. Zell Miller said on Hannity's radio program yesterday that someone should go to jail for this; he's right. Has anyone heard if this will be pursued?

1. Kerry got an dishonorable discharge

2. Brit waved around the discharge papers

3. O'Neill was a guest saying Kerry was a traitor and got kicked out of the Army

4. Brit had cleared the story with Bartlett who said he checked with the Navy and the papers looked OK to him.

Then oops ... the papers were forgeries. A couple of weeks later, Brit says sorry, my news producer made a simple mistake. We call the Bush campaign all the time for info.

So I would assume the MSM would chalk it all up as 'it was just an honest mistake'. Welcome back Brit, and way to go FNC. High fives all around for the way you handled the crisis.
