I disagree with fining the stations - the fine should be in CBS's corporate lap.

Why did it take 8 months, anyway?

I bet it takes CBS less than 60 Minutes to pay that fine.

It's still in their corporate lap:
"...voted unanimously to slap each of the 20 CBS-owned television stations with the maximum indecency penalty of $27,500....The agency's five commissioners decided not to fine CBS' more than 200 affiliate stations."

While it's a start, this is loose change for cBS. Also, I don't think the FCC has any pull with broadcasters, only the licensed stations.
