Clinton describes near-death experience

Posted on 10/29/2004 7:44:26 AM PDT by meandog

Clinton describes near-death experience: Former president Bill Clinton says that during his heart operation last month, he had visions of life and death, mingled with images of his wife and daughter. “I saw, like, dark masks crushing, like, death masks being crushed, in series, and then I'd see these great circles of light and then, like, Hillary's picture or Chelsea's face would appear on the light, and then they'd fly off into the dark,” Clinton said in an interview on ABC's Primetime Live. Clinton rejoined the campaign trail this week promoting presidential nominee John Kerry and other Democratic candidates.

We need a psycho analyst to dissect these visions.

For instance, I find it interesting that he saw a picture of Hillary but saw Chelsea's face.

The implication being that Chelsea was being seen as in person, in his presence. This is an image that gives a warm comforting feeling of closeness.

Contrastingly, Hillary is there only as a picture, a representation of her rather than her actual presence. This gives an image of remoteness, distance, perhaps even cold and distant. Certainly not supportive.

Any psychology students out there?

>>His soul is corrupt and there is no hope.

There is always hope.  Some just choose to reject it.

"The Horror... The Horror."

I believe that's the last thought that passes through a persons mind as they slip through deaths doorway - and realize that there IS an eternal soul AND that they have rejected the saving grace of Jesus Christ - thereby condeming themselves to eternal darkness.

There is hope, even for Bill Clinton - Take a look at Psalm 107 -

10 Some sat in darkness and the deepest gloom,
prisoners suffering in iron chains,
11 for they had rebelled against the words of God
and despised the counsel of the Most High.
12 So he subjected them to bitter labor;
they stumbled, and there was no one to help.
13 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble,
and he saved them from their distress.
14 He brought them out of darkness and the deepest gloom
and broke away their chains.
15 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for men,

John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
