"Indeed, the French wine makers have spent bundles trying to get more American-friendly representatives, no doubt because they are hurting terribly."

They are hurting but not due to their politics. They have lost the marketing battle to new competitors from California, Chile and Australia.

Republicans, nearly every one of whom I'm guessing wouldn't know appetizing undergarments from a flap of burlap and some string?

It is NOT a flap of burlap and some string. It is tanned deer hide, and leather "string", and it's called a Loincloth - which, I must admit as humbly as possible, makes me look pretty damned hot...

I am sure the competition hurts, too.

But the organized boycott had a significant effect.

That's being misinterpreted in a selective way. Amazon allows ANY group to get a kickback on clickthroughs resulting in Amazon sales. It's not just a MMM program, far from it! Any websites can do this, and get paid for clickthroughs resulting in sales on Amazon.

"Taco Bell...pumping out their happily toxic semirancid meatlike substances..."

Anti-Latino slurs. Someone should sue. (/Sarcasm)
Seriously, if he thinks Taco Bell is "icky", hope he never discovers barbacoa or tamales...

They do.

Checking my order, it says at the botton:

"Currently, item can be shipped only within the U.S. and to APO/FPO addresses."

I see a member of the party of tolerance (SIC). The more they foam at the mouth, the more ridiculous they look, so let them continue make morons out of themselves, they do a superb job.

Does it matter a whit that, say, Fruit of the Loom underwear gave nearly 100 percent of its corporate donations to tighty-whitey-wearing Republicans, nearly every one of whom I'm guessing wouldn't know appetizing undergarments from a flap of burlap and some string?

The poor dear has clearly never seen my FR profile page.

Hold on a moment..."choose blue" classified news corp and it's company Fox News as Blue companies. These are about individual employees (donors) who gave to either dems or reps. And frankly it doesn't surprise me that FNC and news corp. were blue companies, b/c production staff I knew who worked there were as liberal as they came.

...Whereas, "Loom of the Fruit", sold by Blue Companies, has the fly opening in the rear.

"I knew Starbucks had to be a liberal creation. Created by liberals for liberals,"

You know, I'm not too sure about this. We live in a very small coastal area of northern California ( about 6,000 in immediate area), and just got a Starbucks this year. After an initial "Wow" factor things settled down and got back to normal. We have quite a few mom and pop coffee places, but so far everyone seems to be doing just fine. On top of that I worked at our local Republican headquarters this past election and Starbucks contributed coffee and also let us use their store for a local function.

There will always be local exceptions, but when the national company gives 100% of their donations to the Dems, it's pretty clear.

True, well it certainly amazed us, but we didn't ask any questions and were happy for their help.
