Darlie & I can't wait!

FYI, I checked with my Congressman's (John Porter) office today re: Inaugeral tickets.

Apparently, the Inaugural Committee has not yet released tickets.

Hate to miss THIS party! Give George and Laura our best, and tell them we missed them during our visit to the White House in April. We just love what they've done with the place!

There are still a couple days left that we can accept ticket orders by mail-in check, but the checks must be received in Fresno soon. I'll be departing on the 5th. Amy and John will be leaving a week or so later. Checks must be received in Fresno no later than the 10th of January because there won't be anyone here to receive and process them.

If you've ordered tickets via the mail-in check option and have not yet mailed in your check, now is the time to do it.

Our mailing address is:

Free Republic, LLC
PO Box 9771
Fresno, CA 93794

Thank you all so much!

See you at the ball!!

Even though I'm equally as happy as you that Bush won, from the looks of all the pics I've seen from the other balls I would have as much fun at a retirement home or family reunion lol.

I'll pass on this one.

Hey, Jim... I was away from the computer for a few days, but the planning continues for the best and most fun Inaugural Ball in town (the FR W2 Ball, of course).

Everyone, be on the lookout for more Ball updates as time draws closer to Inauguration Day, but hurry up and get you tickets ASAP! Other conservative groups are beginning to hear about our W2 Ball and you don't want to lose out on the chance to get tickets for yourselves.

The decision is an easy one...

Do I want to:
a) buy a ticket to an "Official" Ball, and spend the evening packed like a sardine in a massive venue with xx-thousand other people, waiting in interminably long CASH BAR lines to buy drinks for $8-10 a pop, and searching for a dish of pretzels or peanuts to snack on...

b) Buy an ALL-INCLUSIVE ticket to the Free Republic W2 Ball, where I can choose from a complete dinner and dessert menu (I'll post the delicious menu again, later), four and a half hour OPEN BAR, and dancing into the night to the rock 'n roll sounds provided by Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee and the Capitol Offense band!

c) Stay home and miss celebrating the night with Freeper friends from across the country.

The Ballroom that Jim and the Ball organizing team have selected is big and beautiful, with plenty of room to dance the night away; the second ballroom - set up with tables for comfortable dining - is also beautiful and roomy enough for those of you who want to sit and rest and visit with long-distance friends; and the kids party room will be able to comfortably accomodate the young party-set. And for the smokers among us, the roomy hotel bar area is available to us, with plenty of seating areas there, as well.

So, don't dawdle too long; time's awasting, ticket sales are moving right along and we don't want anyone to miss out on the chance to come to the W2 ball.

To: Jim Robinson; All

I'm just curious, and didn't want to start up a thread just to ask - what are the ticket prices for the "official" balls? Cause I'm dealing with lefties on another site who are trying to make it sound like you can't get in for less than $250,000, heh.

If an easy source is available to prove it, that'd be greatly appreciated too.

Well, I will probably get flamed, but here goes..

I really hate to see all the money being raised and spent on the inauguration when we have Marines and Soldiers in Iraq going without armor and such. I would love to see W skip the big party and use the funds for our troops and their families. Spending 50 million for a party while our troops go without seems like a sin.
