The governor reacted strongly the day after private e-mails between a former aide and someone called MD4Bush became public.

Gov. Bob Ehrlich reacted Thursday to the private e-mails that the 11 News I-Team first reported Wednesday. Collins said Ehrlich is using the e-mail messages to bolster his claim that the Democrats are behind an orchestrated effort.

"It appears that an orchestrated effort was put together to inflict political damage on our administration," Ehrlich said...

How is it that abortion is conservative or liberal ?

1) Because it is.
2) Conservatives generally believe in the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Hard to do that when you're dead. (Excuse me, when you've been "chosen.")

I strongly suspect that MD4BUSH is an employee of the Washington Post.

I dont think delaying its natural progression would help much. Just let it work its way out and keep on it. Keep reminding the people how MOM's people did this.

Governor, please dont say "Vast Left Wing Conspiracy" :). Ehrlich has had problems ever since he fired that aide of his for spreading rumors about O'Malley.

His aide was set up. Are you saying otherwise?

Welcome to the forum. You wouldn't be a friend of MD4Bush, would you?

Hey, bill21, welcome to FR. If you don't know already, "that aide of his" didn't spread any rumors about O'Malley, MD4BUSH did (tell him we said hello, please). The truth comes out eventually, it always does. Here's a bit of advice, "if you shoot at the king you'd better kill him." Just ask Michelle Lane. Tune in to Rush Limbaugh, you obviously could learn a lot from him.

The Gov. is a pragmatic republican in a state that is rabidly Pro-Dim. Baltimore and the DC suburb counties (including the infamous Montgomery Co.) usually decide the state and federal elections for the rest of us.

MD had an abortion referendum over ten years ago, so no pro-life pol will bear down on it much.

Ron Smith is a "paleo-conservative" talk show host who opposes the war, but generally supports the GOP.

WBAL's radio and TV stations are somewhat independant of each other. Actually a good strategy -that way you can appeal to the broader populance (and sell advertisers on either).

my facts were wrong, I guess. I just heard it blew up into a big thing in Maryland. Why did Ehlrich fire the aide? I remember Steffen apologizing or being asked to apologize by Ehrlich. I'm just wondering.

No guessing about it, you did get the facts wrong, as did the Washington Post, as did the Baltimore Sun. Steffen was forced to resign because of false accusations like those found in the irresponsible and shameful comments you posted. You would apologize for that if you care about the truth. Regardless of what DUmbocRATS think, the truth is going to be revealed "big time".

As a Baltimore City Freeper, I'd like to provide some insight to my comrades around the country who've been following this story:

WBAL-TV has an anchor woman, Donna Hamilton, who is married to a Maryland Democrat Party official named David Paulson.

HMMM!

I wonder how WBAL-TV got the jump on those emails!

Locals may remember Mr. Paulson's assanine role as "Bobby Baloney" during the 2002 election season which produced a solid victory for Republican candidate Ehrlich over inept Democrat candidate Kathy Townsend in the Democrat majority state of Maryland.

You can look it up.

Paulson used to represent the leftists on WBAL radio on Friday mornings on a radio show hosted by a conservative comedian.

Both WBAL TV and WBAL radio are owned by some Hearst group.

WBAL TV shares news resources with the ultraliberal Baltimore Sun newspaper, which is the only daily in town.

Whenever you see a story on WBAL TV, you'll read about it in The Sun too.

The Sun is the biggest anti-Ehrlich tool that the Maryland Democrat Party has in its bag of tricks, in my opinion.

I know it's hard to believe a newspaper could be liberally biased, but it's true!

[ sarcasm: off ]

Unfortunately, there's a lot of idiots who read that paper without a BS filter who don't know the paper's pro-socialist agenda.
