Houston Muslims Denounce Terrorism
Click2Houston.com ^ | July 29, 2005

HOUSTON -- Houston-area Islamic groups joined a nationwide campaign to denounce terrorism, Local 2 reported Friday.

The public service announcements hit the airwaves Thursday. The campaign is called "Not in the Name of Islam."

CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, released it to build understanding.

"Muslims are not only victims of the terrorists attacks but also have to deal with the stigmatization of being blamed for the heinous crimes of a minuscule minority." Said Rodwan Saleh, with the Islamic Society of Greater Houston.

Houston's Islamic leaders joined together to applaud a religious ruling against terrorism and religious extremism.

"We want to let all of Houston citizens know that we stand behind peace and justice and we are absolutely against any terrorism or any terrorism actions in this city." Saleh said.

Nearly 1 million people around the country have signed a petition supporting American Muslims.

"The terrorists actions are not in the name of Islam and Muslims do not want their religion seized by criminals, said Kaleem Siddiqui, with CAIR Houston. "They commit these acts cowardly and they call themselves Muslims. We absolutely condemn that and oppose it."

Houston was recently rated the No. 1 city in the country by the Vera Institute for police having good relationships with the Arabic and Muslim community.

Well I can understand that.

Mine came in Colombia a few days after the attack.

Before the attack I was like a lot of the naivete Muslim apologists that post on this site.

I thought by being nice and pleasant to them they would reciprocate.

But being beaten by a bunch of fanatical savages, built a fire that just will not go out.

I don't have hatred for the person but for the beliefs they espouse.

Love the person and hate the sin.

Notice what the article says about your hero Mr. Siddique!!!

2004.

Why am I not surprised?

When did I ever say Siddique was my hero or give the slightest indication of any support?

Please develop some reading and comprehension skills before you respond to me. You moonbats are really a trip. Read and comprehend what I've been saying.

It's really very simple. All I'm saying is that not all Muslims are terrorists.

Don't go off all moonbatty just because I have a different opinion from yours. I have different sources and a different perspective.

I despise terrorists and I daresay I have had more "up close and personal" experiences with them than you have. I don't scare easily, but I have been genuinely scared a couple of times because of close brushes with terrorism.

Take a chill pill and stop freaking out.

I will reiterate my original response to the Muslim fatwa on terrorism, I will only believe them when they start naming names.

Name calling.

How nice.

More charm from one of the 2004 Moonbats.

What the hell slipped under FR's door in 2004? I've met some wonderful people who joined in '04. Then again whenever someone is rude and obnoxious combined with arrogance and ignorance, nine times out of ten it turns out they slithered in here in 2004.

What is up with that? Did FR have a Moonbat Membership Drive last year?

In your post #10 you obviously believed this tripe? You were taken in by Siddiques words and now you are back-pedaling!! As for my experiences with muzzies, I spent 60-80 hours a week with 13 of them around 9-11 for several months and listened to their tripe! I lived with them, ate with them and even slept in the same room with them!!

Lose the exclamation marks. The don't emphasize your points, they just increase the Moonbattyness of your posts. This thread is loaded with moonbats.

I'm not backpedaling on anything.

You're taking my comments out of context and treating yrouself to a nice little Moonbat-Freak-Out.

Sit down and be quiet. You're not making much sense.

You ask Allegra if she "trusts the muslim outpouring of condemnation of terrorism"
Her reply; she calls you a moonbat and then accuses you of name-calling.
Seems like she learned alot from muslims LOL!!!!

Allegra, please don't lump all the 2004's together. I pride myself on my grammar and my punctuation (especially the proper use of the apostrophe). Some of us just got here late.

Keep up the good work over there.

Gee Allegra....I should "get ahold of myself", huh?

I guess that no Islamazi is capable of lying in your little world...but fortunately, Luigi's Link had THIS little gem about 9/11...

"One New Utrecht official told me that of the 509 Arab-American students who attend the school, many have come forward with their own stories about having prior knowledge. "Kids are telling us that the attacks didn't surprise them," she told me. "This was a nicely protected little secret that circulated in the community around here. I guess they were talking about it among themselves, but they didn't share it with us — at least not before the attacks."

According to students, many of their Arab-American peers were seen taking photographs of the crumbling twin towers from New Utrecht on Sept. 11. "Don't you think it's strange so many of them happened to take their cameras to school that particular day?" one student asked me.

Now, you were saying how I should "get ahold of myself"?

I live with them now!!!!! Have been for a year and a half now!!!! Way more than 13 of them!!!! I've had some launch mortars and rockets in my general direction!!!!

Still doesn't mean I hate them all!!!!

(I just wanted to see if the exclamation points make me look properly moonbattily attired for this thread.)

Oh, you're not in that group. ;-) You're in the part where I mention I've met some wonderful FReepers from 2004.

This thread has become Moonbat Central. LOL

Thin skinned arent we. Your post #10 says it all. You are very gullible, taken in by the islamists. Taken out of context BS thats a dem trick (I didnt really say what I said). I didnt take anything out of context. You are busy lecturing others about there poor grammar when you do not even know what it means to be taken out of context. In order for me to have taken you out of context, I would have had to quote you. I did not !! Go back to calling us names, since your arguments fall flat!!

have to deal with the stigmatization of being blamed for the heinous crimes

Yes, a few public service spots aren't going to substitute for each and every one of 1.2 billion individuals saying that the Terrorists are criminal murderers.

You ran out of books and movies over there, didn't you, Allegra. That's the only thing that would explain your continued sparring with people who insist on attacking your reason, your motives, your discernment and your loyalties.

You have nothing to prove.
