Agreed.
Peter Jennings, Dan Rather, and Twom Bwacawh share a goodly portion of the blame due for the decline of the traditional American culture.

Its the end of an era. I don't think any one misses the disappearance of the old MSM monopoly. In their heyday, Jennings, Rather and Brokaw were the force of its expression. Now there's no one in television who will exert the influence they had. Its certainly a welcome blessing.
