U.S. President George W. Bush writes a note to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice during a Security Council meeting at the 2005 World Summit and 60th General Assembly of the United Nations in New York September 14, 2005. World leaders are exploring ways to revitalize the United Nations at a summit on Wednesday but their blueprint falls short of Secretary-General Kofi Annan's vision of freedom from want, persecution and war. "Bathroom" is actually a euphemism for "city-busting weather machine."

Well I do agree thats pretty low for the media to make something out of this...

But what does it really tell us...

Does anyone think the President of the United States doesn't have to go from time to time???

Its like what my brother had gotten our niece one Christmas years ago...

My brother you have to understand, is a real piece of work, and has a real sense of humor...

He got our niece a book titled:

"Everyone Poops"

A childrens book with cartoonish pages full of humorous, and not too graphic (I know some will be concerned, but its ok, I reviewed and approved the book for her usage) images...

I actually think it didn't get too much milage in the story telling sagas at my sisters house...So I think we're ok...

I just think the media is once again illustrating that they are collectively dumber than a bag of hammers if they think that telling us this reality is going to somehow destroy a presidency...

If lying about a non-sexual relationship in the oval office can't destroy one...

How can a note that says I gotta go potty going to do it???

Actually I am glad President Bush is like us, and apparently very regular to boot...

I'm relieved...

Well, this infantile fool thinks it's funny.

Mostly because that is the way I feel during meetings...when my eyes start to roll into the back of my head.

As a Texan Bush shoulda just walked over to a corner and let 'er rip. At the UN, nobody would notice. In many of the countries that populate the UN, it is considered proper etiquette.

Maybe this will convince the Dims that Bush is not God.

"His handwriting - like mine - alternates between all caps and then a mixture of caps and lower-case letters. I wonder what that means?"

It means he has to go real bad.

But OTOH have you ever see Karl Rove step out to the washoom?

Between this and the recent pics of Judge Roberts at his confirmation hearings, it gives a whole new meaning to "up close & personal" journalism.

I agree. The picture caption says he is responding to a note from Condi. She appears to have written the request in all caps, and he is writing in a different style.

Even if the original note was written by him - so what?

it means that if you had to use cursive on F.R threads the grammar police would track down your URL(?) and come and get you. they are very vicious and self rightious.
you may also be labeled a DUmmie. :-)

Or remember Al Gore, who "drank a lot of iced tea" and so missed key parts of fund raising meetings? I think it was the part of the meeting where they discussed shaking down Buddhist nuns and selling the Lincoln Bedroom or something. I do recall that when Gore was cornered about some typically Clintonesque shenanigans, he volunteered that he had stepped out of the meeting a lot because he had drunk so much iced tea. Someone else will remember this correctly, I'm sure.

Of course, lefty journalists never take a s***. That's why they're so full of it.

Oh, yes. The iced tea episode. I think you have it about right. But I forget if it was before or after the "no controlling legal authority" statement.

"Maybe it was ...code..."

I think you are on to something. I applied my top-secret Rovian operative cryptographic ring to this and came up with this translation:

"I think"= "See that ugly mook in the front row?"
"I need"= "He is a friend of Adam Clymer"
"a bathroom break"= "find out where he lives and have the black choppers pick him tonight."

Why doesn't he just say "excuse me, I'll be back in 5 minutes."

He was in a meeting with other world leaders discussing the future of the UN, so it would have been inappropriate to just get up and walk out. Typical decorum in this sort of situation would have had an intermediary (probably Rice) deliver a message to the discussion moderator requesting a break. The reason why wouldn't have been specified to the moderator, but upon receipt of the message he or she would have declared a 15-30 minute break.

It's important that the entire discussion end when ANY leader leaves, so that important agreements aren't reached in their absence.
