In works of charity one's left hand should not know [or care] whose pocket the right hand is picking at the time. Indeed I am amazed that he donated $3K over the years shown.

Donations are one thing ... someone should do a story about all the restaurants and small shops he has stiffed when the tab came because "I'm John Kerry" (insert Thurston Howel III voice).

Howie Carr's radio show in Boston once in a while does a topic like "your run in's in with the Kennedy's and/or Kerry's" and most of the people who call the show tell how they were stiffed on a bill ... usually at a restaurant.
