I wonder why the Washington Post failed to mention that some of the testimonials in this film have been thoroughly debunked. Never happened, and some of these so called Veterans were, and still are, frauds.
Never mind, we know the reason, don't we?
I seem to recall that someone tracked down the participants and their allegations, and debunked virtually all of them. Winter Soldier was, in effect, communist propaganda, nearly all lies. Can anyone recall the debunker or the report that debunked this smear?
It's really too bad that the Swifties got off message. I have been hoping to see a meaningful documentary that would describe -- clearly -- where we were in the war when the antiwar movement gained its momentum, what, exactly, was the damage that John Kerry and other leaders of the antiwar movement did to our prospects of success, and what were the details of cooperation between the US-based antiwar movement and the Viet Cong and other enemies of the US.

General Washington had this essay by Thomas Paine read to the troops at Valley Forge. Some have said that this work kept America in the battle for freedom in the darkest days of the Revolution. Perhaps the Party of Surrender of Appeasement should read it.
Hard to believe that Post is reviewing this seriously.
Every one but one of these guys were revealed as liars, especially John Kerry.

Some of these "former soldiers" never served in the U.S. armed forces and, if they did, were never assigned to a unit in Vietnam. Let's identify them for what they were....imposters and liars participating in a carefully staged effort to discredit the United States of America.

Evidently, the reporter did little research on Winter Soldier.
Try Stolen Valor, by B.G.Burkett, where he shows these "witnesses" to be liars and frauds. Or read John O'Neill's Unfit For Command. Or view the real documentary, Stolen Honor by Carlton Sherwood.
Or talk to Steve Pitkin, a real vet, who rode in the car with The Loser from D.C. to Detroit. Steve was coached to lie about what he had seen by Kerry, and has since recanted his lies and apologised to the American people.
This review can't be serious -- this has got to be a hoax or something. The "Winter Soldier" accusations have been debunked as fraud -- obviously the Washington Post knows that as well as anyone.

Good Lord! I can't believe that anyone would want to resurrect this piece of trash. The claim that this is an important historical documentary is complete hogwash unless it is used as an example of how lies can effect the policies of a government. |

The Washington Post has shown itself repeatedly and without exception to have lost all credibility. Mind numbingly stupid or just plain liars. I vote for both.
I think a boycott of the Washington Post should be started.
