Does this mean that the copyright will be removed from the 'i have a dream' speech so that school children can speak the words without fear of being charged a fee.

Is that for real?

The family has been fairly agressive about keeping control of the speeches and films of Dr. King. This is unfortunate, IMHO, because it keeps the message from getting out.

This would be an interesting discussion to have on another day in another context. But today and not here.

Yes. This is not the time to dwell on it but even those of us from Atlanta who loved Dr. Martin Luther king and strongly support equal civil rights have a number of bones to pick with the family and their actions.
