I've had my differences with the King family over the years, many of them aired on local radio here in Atlanta. But today, I bid them peace, solace, and respect.
I hope other folks here can retain that type of composure and class. And I know that most here will.
Then again, I should know better. There are some on FR who would rather drag folks through the mud, even in a time of respectful and prayerful contemplation.

Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.

I do not know much about Mrs. King, but I don't recall that she's ever been the subject of any charge at all. May she enter into the joy of her Lord.

Charles Barkley is on with Imus. He's talking about this and his book, "Who's afraid of a large black man?"

I'm hoping the King kids will show some composure and class during the mourning of their mother.

Well said Michael. We are all imperfect human beings, but Mrs. King's journey through life was with dignity. May the Lord lift up her family.

fwiw, i was privileged to know both Rev. Kings AND Mrs. King as well. (we students called her "the mender of broken hearts". college kids have LOTS of "broken hearts"! as the saying went in the '60s, "1st love is beautiful, HURT!")
also i am burning candles for her today & will do so until after her funeral.

Agreed Michael, I wish the King family peace and solace. I always thought Mrs. King very stately, and a regal bearer of her husbands legacy. The mourning period of death is certainly NOT the time to air our political differences.
