Cheney takes blame for shooting (Left lamments: Cheney Not Used as Piniata)
Boston Globe ^ | 2/16/06 | Michael Kranish and Bryan Bender

Posted on 02/16/2006 6:20:20 AM PST by teddyballgame

The vice president's decision to talk only to Fox News -- which Democrats maintain has a pro-Bush bias -- enabled Cheney to dodge an adversarial no-holds-barred news conference with an agitated White House press corps. That rankled some Democrats, including Senator Charles E. Schumer of New York.

''Doing an exclusive interview with any single news organization is not enough," Schumer said. ''The vice president hasn't had a press conference in three and a half years, and he ought to have one to clear the air not only on this issue, but more importantly on the many other issues that have been shrouded by a veil of secrecy."

Truth comes out, MSM & Left could care less about facts of shooting, they want Cheney to be treated as a punching bag.

FOX just had on that turncoat puke David Gergen who says this is still a huge problem for Cheney and the administration.

This is the same lowlife who defended the Rapist to the hilt.

How I despise these RINO bastards.

Lil Chuckie Schumer is such a putz. Where does he get the nerve to make demands that Cheney should obey him? The Dims are temper tantrum fascists.

As stated before, no matter what Cheney says or does, it is a case of damned if you do and damned if you don't. Schumer, Kennedy, Pelosi, Reid, Boxer, Kerry, Carter, Clinton, Gore all get a pass from the MSM. Britt was chosen because of his integrity and honesty. The following is the sort of havoc they have brought upon us because of their treasonous words and deeds.

The following are excerpts from footage of Saudi suicide bomber Abu Mu'awiya Al-Shimali, which were released by the Islamist Internet forum www.alsaha.com on February 13, 2006.

Letter:
"My brothers, the mujahidoon for the sake of Allah, what shall we, your sisters in Abu Ghureib prison, tell you? We have been attacked by the sons of apes and pigs. They tore up our Korans, disfigured our bodies, and humiliated us. What have you heard about what we see here every day? By Allah, one of us was raped several times in one day by those apes and pigs.

The Democratic left, so determined to hurt President Bush are the people who have fanned the lies, nay, encouraged them that this letter speaks about. Sedition and Treason against ones country are crimes punishable by law: It is high time this country started using these laws as they were intended to be used.

Ref: How I despise these RINO bastards.

Amen, brother.

Guaranteed face time on the Networks. Call yourself a Republican, then bash the administration.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I thought Cheney handled this whole situation beautifully (and as best can be expected, considering the grave situation).

Delay the story so its not in the Sunday talk shows and Sunday paper and avoid the complete media circus that would have happended. Give a reasoned interview to a reliable network. In the end Cheneny stuck it to the media not once, but twice!

When is Chuck Schumer's wife, Iris Weinshall, going to take responsibility for the ferry accident that killed 11 people and injured hundreds others.

She's the Transportation Commissioner for Mayor Blooming-idiot.

Boy Schumer is a putz. I saw him on some interview the other day ranting because the Arabs were buying ports in America and ranting because some commission gave them the okay... but when pressed... he wasn't ready to pass any laws restricting such purchases.

'I had a bit of the feeling that the press corps was upset because, to some extent, it was about them: They didn't like the idea that we called the Corpus Christi Caller-Times instead of The New York Times," Cheney told Hume.

This is all anybody needs to know about this story -- and yes I am implying that you don't even need to know the details of the shooting itself.

Hey chuckie, I don't seem to remember a barage of press conferences from ALgore during the temple fund-raising scandal where Algore was accepting money from a foreign government to infulence a Presidential election. Hmmmmmm?

"turncoat puke David Gergen"

I don't know if he's a "turncoat puke," but he's always struck me as a moron. When it comes to unquestioning acceptance of the MSM spin on events, he's worse than a senator.

IF she did appear, I believe that when it came right down to it, Hannity and O'Reilly would both roll over themselves with softball nicey-niceys for Hildabeast...I've seen them talk tough too many times in the past, but when it came to big name pols, they both have rolled over with nicey-niceys...in a lot of ways, they too can be "all talk-no action" when it comes to interviewing the "big ones."

Good morning.

Gergen is a political prostitute.

No offense to prostitutes meant.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall and hear GW giving Cheney good natured grief over this at some future meeting or such.

Well, sure, they want to hit Cheney but the truth is that it was first reported to a small town paper. Then it's reported to FOX. They don't consider these legitimate sources.

Actually, they feel their shrinking turf being shrunk even more.

The more avenues to reporting breaking news are discovered, the less influential the MSM becomes. The W.H. has just made small town papers open game for relaying news. So is it any wonder the Democrats are upset as well? Given the MSM is keeping them alive right now? Now they have to contend with talk radio, 'net, sometimes FOX, AND small town papers.

The W.H. didn't intend it, but they've just made the MSM slightly less powerful. Every inch of ground they lose, is to our benefit. :-)
