BAGHDAD, April 11 (KUNA) -- Director of the bureau of the vice president of the ousted regime, Izzat Al-Douri, has been detained, the interior ministry announced on Tuesday. -- An official source of the ministry said security personnel detained Ali Al-Zubaidi, who had served as the director of Al-Douri, adding that the detention happened in the region of Al-Hella.
Authorities are currently questioning him to try determine whereabouts of Al-Douri. Al-Zubaidi's son, named Kehlan, was arrested several days ago.
Al-Douri is among the figures in the 55-name list of wanted top Iraqi criminals. (end) mhg.
