Jim Sinclair remarks on MineSet that Ahmadinejad's second letter to Bush, inviting him to convert to Islam, can be interpreted as a threat rather than a pleasant gesture.

Unfortunately, US diplomats and analysts tend not to understand this sort of religious thinking, and therefore to write it off as meaningless. It is far from meaningless, however.

Here are Sinclair's comments:

For those interested, the French publication Le Monde has published the full text of the letter to President Bush from the President of Iran.

What most people and possibly the xenophobic US management team may have missed in this letter is the challenge it presents deeply imbedded in religious rhetoric.

I have recommended subscription to the International Strategist on previous occasions. In the religious rhetoric of this letter TIS points out two invitations are made directly to President Bush to convert to Islam.

You would have to understand the tenets of the Koran to grasp this important fact. You will recall, as TIS points out, that bin Laden was chastised by his own for not inviting the US to convert before 9/11. TIS makes a good point when they say most commentators might be looking at this situation from the wrong standpoint when the question is will the US attack Iran or simply invoke unilaterally or in concert with the UN economic sanctions. TIS suggest we consider what Iran intends to do to the West.

It seems most commentators I've heard or read say he's a loon. I don't think he is. I HOPE the President & his advisors consider this, and pay attention to his actions. Iran seemingly has no fear of us. They have sheltered Al Qaeda for years, that fact alone is reason enough for their regime to end.

This nut job better reflect on the fact that most major cities in the Persian Empire disappeared totally and utterly for thousands of years.

And it may happen again in Iran.
Just keep pushing...

If they say they are going to obliterate Israel and replace our constitution with the quaran, then that is exactly what they plan to do.
They keep telling us this, yet we continue to brush it off and laugh.
They have infiltrated us, in fact the world. Their procedures work. They move to a country, raise families, acquire jobs in all sectors, live in all parts of the target country. They start to make demands based on their their religious beliefs (the quaran). Nativity scenes are offensive, require rooms and time for prayer, imposing their beliefs at the expense of others. Softening the target so to speak. By leveraging political ground gained at every turn. Subjugation in any means, some subtle, some not so subtle. Each appeasement is a victory for them. When their population reaches a critical mass they strike. They plan to do this with in our lifetimes.France may well already be lost. There is no such thing as a peaceful islamist, it simply means they have not been activated.
We must not continue to dismiss them in apathetic arrogance.
We should be prepared to bare arms.

Will it take an American Hiroshima to awaken the majority, to mobilize our masses against the Islamic quest of world domination?
Islam must be crushed. Islam must not be recognized as a religion any more than Nazism was. All Mosques should be declared delinquent of taxes owed retroactive from the day they were built. ANY gathering of Islamics should be PROSECUTED as CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT MASS MURDER, found guilty and deported. Country by country, state by state, town by town, foot by foot, inch by inch, the Islamic cancer must be eradicated.

ACT NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE:
Dear Representative:
As a registered voter and tax paying legal resident of the United States of America we urge you to provide us with your utmost commitment to providing the citizens of our nation protection of our rights, life, liberties, property, and our hallowed Constitution.

We are under attack by an ideology that demands our demise. We will not stand quiet in the eve of our destruction. And we certainly will not tolerate our elected representative to lead us to the slaughter.

We urge you to introduce a referendum on whether Islam is a religion, or an ideology.

The advantages and protections of tax-exempt status afforded to a religion should not be extended to an ideology determined to replace our Constitution with the Koran.

In spite of what the media reports, the American public is well aware that that the war on terrorism is in reality, our defensive efforts against the Islamic offensive. We are not being provided with the defense of both our rights and the sanctity of our Constitution as long as we allow the enemy to operate freely with in our borders.

Americans are concerned and are in extreme jeopardy and demand you perform your duties as both an American and elected representative.

In Earnest,

ACT NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE

Just so. I remember reading Harold Lamb's book about Genghis Kahn when I was a boy. He would send a message ahead of his march to the next town, saying something like, "Submit, before it's too late."

If the recipient of the message neglected to submit immediately, then he would go in, cut off everyone's head in the whole town, and pile the heads in a pyramid. In other words, he would suggest that when you get an offer to submit, you'd better submit.

Now, what does it mean when Iran sends a letter to the President, as representing all of America, saying "Convert to Islam"? Well, it means, in their view of it, they have now given us fair warning. If we refuse to submit, then they have a perfect right to kill us, as good little Muslims. After all, we neglected their warning. We even laughed at it.

Well, in the end, we could wipe Iran off the map. But that would small comfort for their having killed millions of us first, which is certainly what they intend to do. And I'm not that confident that Homeland Security can stop them from doing it.

Your overview is absolutly correct.

The jihadic enemy has one goal, a world wide caliphate, which clearly implies the total destruction of the American led, Western based global economic system.

The Islamic enemy has been abusing our IRS nonprofit 501C3 and that of other Western nations.

"The advantages and protections of tax-exempt status afforded to a religion should not be extended to an ideology determined to replace our Constitution with the Koran."

Even if they somehow manage to "take over", the American insurgency would make the Iraqi insurgency look like a walk in the park...
