Americans are waking up from a distorted reality. Half now believe that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. That's up sharply from last year, when only 36% believed that he had banned weapons.

The numbers, from a Harris Poll conducted earlier this month, showed

Then the article mentions statements by David Kay that WMD went to Syria and the 48,000 boxes of pre-war documents, the vast majority of which are yet to be read.

Enough to shut the "Bush lied" crowd up for good, we expect.

I certainly hope so.

These new numbers are due to a lot of hard work by some dedicated people, one of them being FR's own jveritas.

Shouldn't we have INTELSAT pics of the truck caravans moving that stuff out of Iraq?

Yep. And if some freepers and other conservatives keep pushing, then we will win this fight against the enemy within.

Look, almost half the country is sleeping. They are caught up in a 910 dreamworld and they don't want to be awakened from their slumber.

I'm sorry to say that to the "Bush-lied" crowd satallite pictures of trucks would be...just trucks.

DoD Report: 50 Trucks Carried Iraqi WMD To Syria
Sweetness & Light  | July 28, 2006 | N/A

The following is a translation of a newly posted Iraqi document done by an unofficial translator. The document, posted in Arabic, is from a Department Of Defense program. It is dated July 13 -- probably 2003.

In it an Iraqi opposition source (a Kurd) working in Syria reports on the movement of Iraqi trucks to Syria before the start of the US invasion of Iraq. It is his understanding that the trucks contained proscribed weapons of mass destruction.

Did somebody ask for a smoking gun?:

I don't think it will matter for some time - like 20 + years after history sorts out the facts and emotions have cooled. Most liberals I know still insist that Clint-peachment was about sex and their eyes glaze over when I try to explain perjury and suborning perjury. To them - facts are irrelevant and the MSM is in Bush's pocket.

Oh, yes! The quantity of documents to be translated is enormous and only begun yet the caring (tm) people have everything already figured out.....

"Despite several years of media efforts to cover up the truth, Americans believe that Iraq had WMD."

Nothing enough to generate the huge headline about a WMD yet. A catastrophe or threat to their money trough is necessary.

Maybe we can get those figures up to 100% when they are used against Israel.

If ever there is enough to generate any headlines about WMD, the media will have to be dragged kicking and screaming to print it.

I've watched how smoothly they lie. They have no qualms about what they're doing whatsoever.

Time is facts worst enemy. Look at what has been done with the Lee Harvey Oswald conspiracy and the belief in multiple shooters.

Just yesterday I was trying to explain to an exasperated conservative friend that there is no point in arguing with them. I used to believe that facts would quickly and easily win arguments. What I've learned is that liberals dismiss even the most solid and compelling facts (EX. Joe Wilson is a liar) by dismissing the source as connected to some bizarre conspiracy.

We know the "Bush lied" crowd is not interested in facts and positive evidence. Their only goal is bad-mouth Bush -- like all liberals, they do not address reality if it is inconvenient to their twisted, traitorous cause.

So why isn't the President shouting this from the mountain top? Is he covering for Russia, China, or some other country? Is he doing enough to stop the terrorist from getting these things.

"Shouldn't we have INTELSAT pics of the truck caravans moving that stuff out of Iraq?"

We did. Colin Powell showed the convoys and the Aircraft manifests. And they still didn't believe him.

What bothered me was why after leaving Iraq, all these caravans suddenly disappeared. We have no intel on them. That is why I believe that we were working with Russia to get the WMD to Russia where it was quietly destroyed.

Neither Russia nor us want loose WMD floating around the middle east. Russia saves face because most of it was probably theirs, we save face because there are no RATS running around screaming that Al Queada has WMD and it is Bush's fault, and Bush saves face because he knew he was winning Ohio and he could play the WMD card whenever he wanted to.
