I'll use small words...

Not all muslims agree with the bad guys. Some muslims believe your religious beliefs only count if you hold them freely.

These are the folks who must change the face of islam. The other choice would be for us to kill over 1 billion people.

GWB gets it. You don't.

I'm glad he is President, and you are not.

Sigh. You see, when the President speaks, he believes that the majority of Americans are smart enough to listen well and comprehend what he says. Democrats and unappeasables excluded, of course. I'm really sorry that you don't get it.

What country are you moving to where the gov't tells the truth?

I'm glad GWB is the President also. However, I tend to disagree with you concerning the majority of Muslims. If you think this is true, explain CAIR to me then. Explain to me - and the rest of us - why even in this country the Muslims will not rise with one voice and cast out the evil ones in their midst?

f we don't like the name 'War on Terror', what should we replace it with?

WW III? Catchy, and true.

I'm not sure a majority ARE ready to live in peace with others. That is why we need to establish a democracy in the heart of muslim territory. Democracy is incompatible with muslim core beliefs so the core beliefs need to change.

To do that, we need 'good muslims' (like my roommate) to actively pursue change. The only alternative is to kill a billion people, or at least so many that the survivors will repent.

I'm willing to go that route if needed, but I'd like to try a more peaceful alternative first.

BTW - I'm in the military, as have been two of my kids. I don't shrink from the need for violence at times, but I like it to be a last resort, not the first.

What purpose is served by making all of them your enemy?

It eliminates a violent CULT from the world stage.

Sorry! Didn't know of his service. As I see it I have two choices: Wait until the jihadis come to my door and kill as many as I can before they get me or I can support the President to do the best he can with what he has to work with in the War on Terror. No offense intended.

I agree that the best course of action at this time is to support the President.

But, really. What's our alternative?

But that doesn't mean a person can't complain. That's one of the privileges of being an American!

I am former military - retired Navy. I have also had a tough life growing up. One lesson I learned from being picked on by bullies is after the first time, strike back hard and fast, with max force. People tend to leave you alone after that.

"Muslim core beliefs." You nailed it! I think we - the United States - is failing in attempting to replace their core belief with democracy. I think we need to replaced their core belief with another one that preaches love and forgiveness. That is Christainity.

True enough. Airing out complaints sometimes leads to solutions not yet realized.
