The Dictators and Nazi-like leaders in this film were conservatives? What part of the storm trooper government portrayed in this film impressed you?

Wow! I'll bet you never saw the movie.

With all due respect, yes I have seen the film. If I hadn't, I wouldn't be suggesting it was one of the worst films of the year, I'd just try to ignore it. Even liberal- biased content aside, I really didn't like it, I actually had to fight to stay awake a couple times in the theater. The only parts I kind of liked were V's monologue when he first shows up, and the 'Benny Hill' scene.
It would be rather hard to deny that the film was an attempt by liberals to insult conservatives. In fact, I believe the cartoonish dictator's (Yet another reason I didn't like the film, he was a dumb and two- dimensional villain with the depth of a puddle) political party was actually called the 'Conservative Party.' In the film, the British government did all the things that radical, paranoid leftists accuse conservatives of wanting to do to America (Homosexuals and Muslims persecuted, prisoners wearing Abu Ghraib- style torture hoods, private houses wiretapped, etc.). Pretty much every film critic I've seen who's reviewed the film, liberal or conservative, felt the same way, that it was a slam at conservative politics. Of course, the liberal critics praised this fact, while the conservative critics hated it.
