How about Michael Bloomberg? Or Christie Todd Whitman? Or Arnold Schwartenkennedy? Or Lincoln Chaffee? All are Giuliani Republicans.

Kucinich is taken. He's running with Hagel.

Fred Thompson, if he'll take it. Though I am not sure Thomspon has the experience to be POTUS. Reagan had a show biz background but also a more solid political background. It would be strong ticket regionally though.

Or is Hagel running with Kucinich? It is so confusing when you have such prominent politicians.

Hagel is such a worm. I hope he runs, and gets royally spanked in the primaries.

Just have Rudy put on his dress, I'm sure they can work something out.

"Though I am not sure Thomspon has the experience to be POTUS."

Senators have been elected president. People who have only been elected to the office of mayor have not.

Hunter.

Yeah, right. The last person you want on any ticket is a sitting member of the most dysfunctional, spendthrift Congress in generations. Might as well chose Duke Cunningham.

Rudy has the advantage of being seen by many as AMERICA'S Mayor, as opposed to being "just" a mayor of a city. 9-11 "nationalized" him.

You can post that a million times, it won't change a thing. Most people have a sense of humor, and understand parody.

Many (if not most) people appear to think so, according to EVERY 2008 poll I have seen. :)

Senators have been elected president. People who have only been elected to the office of mayor have not.

Giuliani ran the largest city in the United States, with a police force larger than many militaries, and has an executive track record. He had more on his plate than many governors, and they get elected all the time. It's not like he was the mayor of Bokipse, Minnesota.

Fred Thompson is right on the issues, but very light on experience. Senators do get elected President, but his term was both short and unremarkable. He's a nice guy with a little political experience and a modest acting career. Reagan was govenor of California, and president of the Screen Actors Guild. That's executive experience, and quantifiable leadership. Thompson simply doesn't have that under his belt.

Precisely. Reagan also honed his skills and developed his political philosophy when he was the spokesperson for GE. He was never "just" an actor. That's a fallacy.
