Due to superior skippering by a captain of Her Majesty's fleet, our small flotilla made an unexpected course correction that actually confused the Iranian forces and they believed , in error, that we entered Iran waters and they are fortunate that the captain chose to show restraint.

The Iranian people wouldn't want apologies. They know that Her Majesty's fleet is run by skilled people. They would be the ones to make apologies for allowing the clerics and their puppet to get into power.

The real question is what is the meaning of "Iranian waters". Water as a noun fuctions both in the singular and the plural, so what is meant by waters...etc.
Does the word Iranian mean just any Iranian or does it apply to a specific Iranian..........
