Diana ratings dwarf Live Earth

The British TV audience for the Live Earth concerts was less than a third of that for last week's Concert for Diana.

BBC One's average ratings between 2000 and 2200 BST on Saturday were 3.1 million, compared with 11.4 million for the Diana gig on the previous Sunday.

Bad language by stars attracted more than 130 complaints to the BBC - but more than 400 complained about rock band Metallica's set being cut short.

The BBC said the ratings were "good" for "a Saturday night in July".

"The audience for Live Earth peaked at nearly five million viewers," a spokeswoman said.

"Climate change is an important and challenging issue which the BBC will continue to engage with."

Apparently the sky isn't falling.

How the hell did Gore win the popular vote anyways ?

And wasn't Tipper Gore trying to ban half these acts just a generation ago ?

Meh

“How the hell did Gore win the popular vote anyways?”

An October Surprise release of the decades old George W. Bush DWI arrest.

Al Gore Junior only won the popular vote by 0.51% (half of one percent). There clearly was a dip in Bush’s numbers from that election “eve” report.

When we factor in that the 3,000 military ballots approved by the Florida Supremes weren’t even tallied in Florida’s certified total, and many absentee ballots weren’t counted because they played no factor in who’d win or lose the electorate votes of those states, it is a crock to proclaim that Gore “won” anything. The number was clearly within any “margin of error” (0.51%) and to truthfully proclaim anything that slim as “victory” would’ve required a full national recount (think that at least 0.51% of the vote was from fraudulent “voters”?).

And now we hear today that NBC’s nightly concert did 2.7 MM. below the usual Saturday night 3 MM and less than the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Flopped in Britain, snow kept people away in South Africa, they would be lucky if they had 50 MM worldwide watch this pompous ass bloviating about his scam.

What an odious POS this festering turd is.

But the participants in Live Earth racked up more frequent flyer miles.

Lol. That's the funniest quote I've seen in a long time! I'm still smirking after reading that.

Wasn’t that story broken by that ultra bush/conservative/republican fox news network?

Let’s see now...

4.0 Million watched in the US on NBC according to their figures, 2.7 Million watched in UK according to the BBC, Lets be generous and say 1 million listened online, and there were 6 concerts with live attendees - only 10,000 in South Africa, and only about 40,000 in the UK, so lets say a total of 300,000 total attendees world wide..

That’s 8 million people accounted for Al.

So just tell us where the other ONE THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED AND NINETY TWO MILLION (1992,000,000) people were Al?

Come on, Al, pray do tell!
