Probably. It is funny how your own child at potential risk colors your view of humor.

I know that the mere suspision of danger had me “out the door” a number of times, dropping everything.

Okay, let’s look at the facts.

LAX was never evacuated.

One terminal at Burbank was evacuated two hours prior to the thread being posted, due a inattentive TSA worker who let someone pass going through the exit. (Now why the doors dont lock when someone walks the wrong way on the carpet like other airports, who knows)

I will grant you, LAX is the number one target in Los Angeles...and the only one attacked this decade.

Hi Karl:

I don’t doubt that you are correct as the webcam I saw showed traffic moving. But it also showed no movement for about 30 minutes.

When I saw your plane crash picture without a caption, I assumed it was a file photo and asked the question just to be 100% sure.

The original poster of the thread had something they considered first hand and it used to be we researched these things and posted links. That is all I have tried to do.

We all remember the poster that left a thread she posted about a possible dangerous situtation and then left to take a shower. We didn’t let her forget it, but we were also sensitive to how people use the forum.

When Redleg posted back to me that my photo had caused alarm, I simply cleared it up as to who posted what.

I am glad that you are assured. I hope others are reassured.

Oh, I turned on my scanner and heard zero emergency activity at either airport. If there was a terminal evacuation, the cars would be backed up on the roads leading into LAX.

Aha...the smaller airport. Nice to fly in and out of.
