Other than the oil companies, I think the insurance companies are the biggest crooks out there.

rose an average of 6.1 percent this year, outpacing inflation and pay increases...

Does that include attorneys? ;-)

And they are so in bed with government that they practically are government.

I have Tri-Care and pay $253 for my entire family. $300 deductable and total of $1000 out of pocket. It’s the best insurance going IMHO.

my monthly premium with Blue cross of Georgia is 360 bucks. I was just informed that next month it will be 430 bucks. I do not know what to do. I cannot afford that. We need an alternative and that alternative is not socialized medicine. But socialized medicine is what we will get if we do not get on the ball because eventually doing nothing will no longer be acceptable and doing nothing right now is the conservative alternative to socialized medicine. No more passive do nothing country clubbers please. This time someone who can solve problems. I think Romney or Giuliani can do it. I do not believe Fred can or will.

My property taxes have risen 85% in the last 5 years (with no changes or improvements to the property). Can we write a news article about that?

First time in my life, I will be starting October 2007 without health insurance. I can’t afford the $1,023.76 premium (me only) per month. I have 7 years 8 months to go before Medicare.

Health insurance premiums rise 6.1 pct

It seems like that is what mine increases a month. Friggin outrageous. The only ones getting rich are the insurance companies , drug companies and their advertisers and of course their lobbyists and our politicians on the take for their cut. The insured, the doctors and the hospitals all in the middle being squeezed and going broke.
