Deval’s naivete endangers us all (Ma. Gov blames victims of 9/11)

In his 9/11 commemoration speech, Patrick observed that while the attack on the World Trade Center was “mean and nasty,” (that’s telling ’em, Deval!) the real tragedy of six years ago was the “failure of human understanding.”

Yes, 9/11 was, Patrick said “a failure of human beings to understand each other, to learn to love each other.” [Emphasis added.]

To find out what the victims of 9/11 didn’t understand about the terrorists that might have prevented the attack, I turned to Debra Burlingame. Her brother, Chic, was the pilot of American Airlines [AMR] Flight 77 - the plane that hit the Pentagon.

When I first read Debra the governor’s remarks over the phone, her reaction was astonished silence. “Can you read that again please?”

I did. More silence.

“Did he have the audacity to say that in front of grieving 9/11 family members?” she asked, somewhat astonished...

Because among many other things, 9/11 was a failure of human understanding. It was mean and nasty and bitter attack on the United States. But it was also about the failure of human beings to understand each other, and to learn to love each other. And it seems to me that that lesson and that warning is something that we must carry with us everyday.

Is there any way we can expel the Democratic People’s Republic of Massachusetts from the United States?

BTW: This is one of things I hold against Mitt Romney; If he can get elected in the DPRM, then he probably isn’t suitable for President...

I sold my home in MA and left the scumbags State for good on 6/30. It is now 2.5 months later and I am beginning to feel cleansed and whole once again. The only thing about what is going on in that God forsaken State is that it is losing population. Hopefully the trend will continue and accelerate as the ever shrinking tax base causes the State to raise taxes ever higher to maintain their socialistic spending programs.

You forget about Shannon's tattoo moment. We in Massachusetts are shocked whenever we see tattoos on bodies. I wonder what is tattooed on Hillary, not that I want to see.

Tell Al Queda about our Gay Marriages, I’m sure they’ll be impressed.

What about New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, California..... all liberal states. Sounds like a dangerous strategy.

That is a fine example of the sort of imprecise, emotion-laden language that liberals always use when they are called upon to address themselves to Evil, but instead cannot bring themselves to admit that it exists.

That is almost as stupid a statement by the Gov as was the one by a substitute teacher blaming the towers’ collapse on Global Warming (I kid you not).

Only a liberal would say terrorists need to be loved. The rest of us would say we need to Jack Bauer them immediately.

Deval is a wimp and a socialist, in no particular order.

You have to hear his voice to fully appreciate the "mean and nasty" bit.

Unfortunately, we're moving into NH and Maine, ruining them, and moving them solidly into the Dem column.

Jack Bauer? I’m not watching anymore since Janeane Garofalo joined the cast of 24.

I personally heard the roar of approval from arise from Brookline (and Cambridge,Newton,Belmont,Sommerville, etc) as Coupe Deval delivered those wise and compassionate words.

Dead men tell no tales, but a live one, scared fecesless, will talk his head off. Ejecting Massachusetts from the US might just be that "upside the haid" slap that the rest of the liberal Northeast might need.

Mass is too small to be a country, and too large to be an insane asylum. Without Federal monies to prop up it's social programs, and all the actual taxable money from earned income headed for Vermont, the only source of income left would be Venezuela. While I would miss Kennedy and Kerry in the Senate, I think I could cope...

A gun still solves more problems than singing kum-baya. That's what conservatives like about "24." If only we could do it in the real world.

Perfect size for Chinese military installations ... the liberals in ALL of America will welcome them with Deval Patrick's hugs and love. .
