The article said he had been bullied. So he must have at one time either been part of the school, or at least had contact with the kids at that school.

I noticed that the weapons, many of them toy lookalikes, were taken “from the home of” the teen.

No indication that they belonged to the teen, especially the 9mm “assault rifle”.

Dad just lost his collection!

The picture that goes along with the news article makes it look real scary, but most are toy guns, according to the article.

I was bullied and threatened with a firearm at school many times... I didn’t go out and “Columbine” anyone...

Who bullies you when you’re home-schooled? Your little sister?

“The weapons included a 9 mm assault rifle that the teenager’s mother had recently bought for him, Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce L. Castor Jr. said. Prosecutors are reviewing her actions.”

Gee, ya think?

From the article:

"...police conducted a search of the teen's home and recovered a cache of weapons...Officers recovered a 9mm assault rifle..."

A cache of airsoft replicas. The article shows a camera scanning over a table of several airsoft replicas.

Officers recovered a 9mm assault rifle..."

The only real gun on the table is a Hi-Point 9mm carbine rifle (Which is NOT an assault rifle).

I seriously doubt that any of those grenades are real.

See Post #10.

With the exception of the Hi-Point 9mm carbine, those are all Airsoft Replicas.

It's strange that you are so quick to suck this article up as a fact, when it's showing a table full of airsoft replicas as a "cache of weapons"

A 14 yo cannot technically “own” it. If Mom signed the 4474, it’s hers.

More likely this is an NEA assault on homeschoolers. I doubt seriously a home schooled teen would waste their time plotting to kill children in a public school unless, as you say, the child was expelled in which case he is a product of the public education system and their inability to cope with the manifestations of their own morally bankrupt values system and not an indictment of home schooling. Will the liberals take this into account?

Not on your life.

Gird up your loins boys and girls. The real assault on home schooling is about to begin. If Hillary gets in in '08 home schooling is all but dead and if you resist?... Remember what happened at WACO to the 86 innocent people that defied her when her husband was in office.

Get ready folks. When toys are considered deadly we’re in trouble. I suspect the police are just hard up for their 15 minutes of fame. Anyone remember Nifong?

Mommy's going to jail too.

Good move, mom. Nice little monster you hatched.

That said, the big fancy display of airsoft guns by the police is pathetic.

Plymouth-Whitemarsh is not a school where you would typically expect problems. My brother lives not far from there, and his three kids all graduated from P-W. It is a good school in a nice upscale Philadelphia suburb.
