BELGRADE -- KFOR has thwarted a fake Serbian Army (VS) attack on Kosovo following a VS tip-off, says Lt. Gen. Mladen Ćirković.

“We give KFOR information, they check it. That’s how recently, following one of our tip-offs, a number of Yugoslav army uniforms were confiscated,” Ćirković told daily Politika.

“According to our data, a paramilitary group was planning to stage a fake VS attack on Kosovo,” he said.

The general said that operative evidence existed incidents were being planned around Bujanovac, Preševo and on the border with Macedonia, and that the VS would not tolerate any provocations of violence in the region.

The VS also informed KFOR representatives that they were expecting international forces led by NATO, and in line with a UN mandate, to protect Serb and other non-Albanian civilians in Kosovo in the event of violence breaking out during the Kosovo status talks.

KFOR have assured their VS colleagues that their 16,000-strong contingent is ready to protect Kosovo’s citizens, should their safety be jeopardized.

“We have made it clear that any repeat of the violence, such as took place on March 17, 2004, is unacceptable. Kfor representatives have replied that those sorts of incidents will not take place again, and that they’ve learned a valuable lesson from those events, and are ready to respond to any challenges that might arise in Kosovo."

"They have sufficiently good units to quell any potential trouble, while recently new units from France and Ireland have been transferred to the province,” stated Ćirković.

“If they are determined to protect the inhabitants, and going by cooperation thus far there is no reason to doubt their sincerity, then they will do so,” he concluded.

There may yet be a need for a repeat of the actions of Count Vlad to succeed over the Saracens.

Our troops will be home by Christmas. Isn’t this the longest war in American History or is it Korea? Damn that unilateral intervention by a Rogue President. Just what makes this a good intervention and Iraq a bad intervention.

Hey, we did find those mass graves!

But we found them in Iraq, full of Kurds and Arabs murdered by Saddam.

Bad news for the Jihadists and their cheerleaders; our troops aren’t going to be fooled by faked massacres anymore.

Were the Serbs just trying to prevent the Saracens from stealing Serb land? Did the Clinton Koolaid drinkers really buy the sell job on Kosova?

The Serbs saved American Pilots during WW2.
The Serbs are a Christian people. Saracens are destroying Christian Churches, some of the Icons in the Churches are priceless. Clinton is guilty of destroying a Christian Culture. Does Clinton ever have a moments doubt about what he did in Serbia.

Bill did what Hillary told him to do. And now apparently, George following Hillary's orders, too. God Help us!

President Clinton lied about “ethnic Albanian” genocide and innocent Serbians died but American outrage was denied.
Why the silence?
Republican Senator John McCain, can you answer that for us?

Oh, wait, McCain was not silent. He did not demand verification, he did not express doubt of Clinton’s extreme accusations and unverified reasons for attack, he did not demand the truth and facts — but he did call for the use of ground troops against Serbia, because, as an “expert” in warfare due to his unfortunate, yet apparently admirable, past as a POW, Clinton’s fake war could gain him valuable face time on camera leading to the announcement of his candidacy for the office of President.

I HATE the Clintons and John McCain. Their ambition is dangerous to the world.

Six out of the first fifteen posts on this thread mention the former President Clinton’s name. WTF Clinton has to do with the present President Bush’s hard line stand FOR the Mohammeden Albanians in Kosovo and AGAINST the Christian Serbs is completely beyond me.

President Bush’s hard line stand

Well, IMO, Bush's stance in terms of Kosovo is really nothing more than a continuation of the Clinton administration policy.

That is, it was only nine months into Bush's first term when 9/11 occurred with a subsequent war in Afghanistan and also the coordination of a world-wide war on terror. What followed, of course, was the build up and invasion of Iraq (March, 2003), and, other burning issues prevailed in the context of North Korea, Iran, and of course the Middle East (e.g. Hezbullah, Lebanon, Syria, and Israel).

In short, what I'm saying is, is that Bush's plate has always been full and Kosovo has never really made his agenda (outside of a speech or two). Thus, his policy is really nothing more than what was there before him. And, I'm not so sure that Bush really even cares - outside of the fact that it affects his relations with Putin where both are delegating the responsiblity of the status of Kosovo to their diplomats.
