Is Sen. Hillary Clinton feeling any doubts about winning the Democratic nomination for president? Not at all.

"It will be me," Clinton tells Katie Couric in an interview to air Monday on the "CBS Evening News With Katie Couric." The broadcast airs at 6:30 p.m. on WKMG-Channel 6.

Couric also asked if Clinton is concerned that Oprah Winfrey could boost Sen. Barack Obama by campaigning for him in three key states.

"No, at the end of the day," Clinton says. "I'm proud to have my husband support me ... with his knowledge, experience and incredible ability to vouch for me."

I think "It will be I" is the correct grammatical form. Minor thing as most people say it this way now, but I was taught differently, and I did not go to Wellesley. Nominative case, is is present form of verb "to be", linking verb.

Wow, I don't want to quibble about it, but they are arguing over whether it should be "this is she" or "this is her" on some discussion board. I was taught, "this is she".

BTW I hope it is not she. I can safely get around the grammatical conundrum by saying, "I hope it is not Hillary". I can be more emphatic and use more colorful language about it, but you catch my drift.

he should relax and pick out the draperies for the White House.

She already has the draperies picked out, they're the same ones she and Bill stole on Jan 20, 2001, (along with the White House silverware.)

She's being vouched for by a man convicted of perjury?

It depends on what the definition of VOUCH is. :)

I hope she’s right. She’ll be much easier to defeat than Obama. And frankly I think that if Obama is the dem nominee and he loses, that will increase racial hostility in this country.

America is ready for a black president, but not a liberal one; a black presidential candidate with a liberal agenda would scare most voters far too much. Mark my words, the first black president will be a conservative or moderate.

She must have quite a file on Obama. Hillary will be the nominee. You can take that to the bank.

The word "bitch" has a lot of color

The words "iron bitch" have more color and expression :-), also feel like in hardness of iron, color me gray, etc., mind you I never refer to her that manner because of the way I was brought up, but if I put my mind to it, I could come up with more . . . .

Yup, score one for me. But there may be those who disagree. It didn't used to be you could start a sentence with a conjunction. Everybody does it now, even well-written newspaper articles. I don't know what is taught in English any more, probably global warning. I missed some of the finer points on tests, that's for sure. And read Beowulf on my own long after I got out of school, now see there is a movie out based on it. I don't remember a thing about the substance of that poem or saga, only that it was the first something in English. But I digress and drift far off the tropical course, I mean topical course.

Hillary may get the nod, but can she win? That is the question. I kind of held my nose when I voted for GWB, but not because I disliked him all that much, just didn't want another Bush. When push comes to shove, I don't know what loyal Democrats will do. A lot don't like her, but if she and Obama kiss and make up, we are in for something.
