As American banks go hat in hand to foreign financial institutions and governments, begging for capital to help them get out of the mess into which their subprime loans have landed them, the question arises as to whether the United States should permit nations like China, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the banks they control to acquire part ownership of our leading banks.

The presidential candidates discussed this issue in their Nevada debate and Hillary was asked about it in an interview with Neil Cavuto on the FOX Business Network yesterday. She replied that she would not “stand in the way” of such investments, but said that they needed to be vetted and called for more disclosure and “transparency.”

The fact is that Hillary Clinton is totally unable to be objective on this key question of our national financial sovereignty because she and her husband have been so compromised by their financial dealings with the very countries at issue in the decision.

Should the Saudi monarchy be permitted to purchase an important equity position in some of America’s leading banks? How can Hillary be objective when the very same monarchy donated $10 million to the Clinton Library and Foundation?

Should the UAE be allowed in? How can Hillary decide fairly when Bill — and therefore herself — have been getting a reported $10 million per year from a fund that administers the investments of the Emir of Dubai, the largest component state in the UAE?

The Dubai Ports deal compromised our national security by putting key points of entry in that nation’s control. But the infusion of capital and the acquisition of equity in our key banks has the potential to make that encroachment on our sovereignty seem piddling by comparison.

Heck, Lippo and the ChiComs financed the first Clinton campaign and paid for most of both the Clinton's legal expenses when they were sitting right in the White House while the Little Dick Morris was getting his toes sucked.

Why the hell don’t we want foreign investment??? Are people nuts?? Take the foreigners money!!! Its not like they can take Citibank with them over to China or the Gulf! The Japanese didn’t take Rockefeller Center in the 80s and the Chinese are ‘going to buy up all our debt and bankrupct us’.

But as far as Hillary goes, what does she care? She just has to get INTO the office. She’ll just lie about everything once she tricks us into letting her in the door.

Clinton’s former press secretary, Joe Lockhart, is reported to have denied he works for the emir. But it now turns out that the Emir’s Dubai International Capital Corp. (DICC) hired Lockhart’s Glover Park Group (GPG) to help with its U.S. takeovers. Among the takeovers: two U.S. defense firms. Besides Lockhart, GPG’s partners include Hillary’s chief advisers: Howard Wolfson and Gigi Georges. DICC paid $100,000 for GPG’s services.

* Clinton is a top advisor to Yucaipa, an investment company run by billionaire Ron Burkle, which, through a subsidiary, [manages] the emir’s investment portfolio shortly after Clinton joined the firm.

* Clinton gets a flat fee from Yucaipa and a share of the profits on the foreign investment fund it manages. (Hillary’s Senate disclosure form notes only that Bill gets more than a $1,000 a year in compensation from this.)

* The emir gave an undisclosed donation to the Clinton Presidential Library — but it must have been hefty: The library set up a Clinton Scholars program for young people from the Arab nation, the only such program it runs.

* Bill Clinton has twice given speeches in Dubai for close to $500,000.

Much as I despise the Clintons and would like to hold them accountable, I'd also like to see who has feathered Jimmah the Peanut Crook's nest. And while we're looking at the Clinton's foreign bank a/c's and Library contributions, could we have a peek at those of the Bush family too?

Selling out the country didn't begin with the Clintons, although they have raised it to an art form, but it may very well end with them as we lose the last of our sovereignty.

Instead of knocking Dick, we all should be thanking him for his exposure of this and other Clinton follies. Not too many in the MSM are willing to do the critiques of the Clintons that Morris does.

But then again, Morris has motivation. He still remembers what the Clintons did to humiliate him and is seeking to even up the score. "Political stalker"? Whatever you want to call it, he's playing well within the rules.
