I just printed the Heritage Evan Sayet article out. Looks like a great read after scaning a little.

Thanks for the lead. I'm not on your ping list - please put me on if you have one. Thanks.

The Modern Liberal will invariably side with evil over good, wrong over right, and the behaviors that lead to failure over those that lead to success. Give the Modern Liberal the choice between Saddam Hussein and the United States, and he will not only side with Saddam Hussein; he will slander America and Americans in order to do so. Give him the choice between the vicious mass murderer corrupt terrorist dictator Yasser Arafat and the tiny and wonderful democracy of Israel, and he will plagiarize maps, forge documents, engage in blood libels--as did our former President Jimmy Carter-- to side with the terrorist organizations and to attack the tiny democracy of Israel.

It's not just foreign policy; it's every policy. Given the choice between promoting teenage abstinence and teenage promiscuity--and believe me, I know this from my hometown of Hollywood--they will use their movies, their TV shows, their songs, even the schools to promote teenage promiscuity as if it's cool: like the movie American Pie, in which you are a loser unless you've had sex with your best friend's mother while you're still a child. Conversely, NARAL, a pro-abortion group masquerading as a pro-choice group, will hold a fund-raiser called "‘F' Abstinence." (And it's not just "F." It's the entire word, because promoting vulgarity is part of their agenda.)

Even better would be to develop high-quality online education programs,

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Virtual programs already exist, and have for many years. We don’t have billion dollar conservative scholarship foundations as a result.

The problem is that conservative have diddled around trying to reform the government schools, when what is needed is their complete collapse. We have allowed our Conservative children to be indoctrinated by the Liberal/Marxist priesthood running the government schools, and then are heartbroken when they emerge from the government school temples as strangers.

Conservatives have wasted valuable time attempting to get vouchers, only to see complete failure when facing the NEA dragon. ( Witness vouchers in Utah)

It makes me sick to think of how many conservatives ( Christian and non-Christian) have given money to Billion dollar Liberal/Marxist endowment funds. Geeze! Talk about digging your own grave, and I am not talking figuratively. Ultimately, the Liberal/Marxist would kill us if they could.

notice that the attacks did not occur until after Mr. & Mrs. Bill Clinton left office. I've always thought that a fascinating coincidence.

The only way that it can be said the attacks only occurred after clinton left office is to ignore the first WTC bombing, the African embassy bombings, the Khobar Towers attack and the USS Cole attack. The 9/11 attacks were the culmination of a decade of previous attacks that weren't responded to.

BTW, I've read reports that the intent in the first WTC bombing was to topple one tower into the other. Had that plan been successful, both towers would have been taken out in a matter of minutes, allowing no time for any evacuation to take place. The death toll would have dwarfed the losses on 9/11.

Yes, the Towers would have collapsed in a sideways manner, taking down other buildings in their path. The death toll would have been enormous.

In 9/11, the buildings essentially imploded, and therefore, did not do as much damage to the surrounding building.

We need a Free Republic equivalent of the Academy Awards. I know it’s early in the year, but this article is a strong contender of the Ronaldus Award for Best Posted Article of 2008.

Virtual programs already exist, and have for many years.

I said, "high quality" what I meant was producing an accredited and certified result exceeding the quality of MIT or Harvard (which isn't that hard). My home educated kids both started college calculus before thirteen. They have also posted post-graduate level work in history. It could have been a lot easier if there really were good materials out there.

The problem is that conservative have diddled around trying to reform the government schools, when what is needed is their complete collapse.

I have been saying that for decades.

Ultimately, the Liberal/Marxist would kill us if they could.

At the rate things are going it's "will," not "would," although it is likely to be accomplished by proletarian proxy and urban chaos subsequent to an economic meltdown.

Yes, the Towers would have collapsed in a sideways manner, taking down other buildings in their path.

I think what may have affected the death toll even more than hitting other buildings would have been the inability to evacuate people from the towers themselves. On 9/11, the delay between the planes hitting and the buildings falling allowed many thousands of people to escape to safety.

One of the key events leading up to 911 occurred when Clinton named Al Gore to head up a "Commission on Aviation Safety" shortly after TWA Flight 800 went down. It is a long and involved story but the net is that Gore sabotaged the effectiveness of the report, and actions mandated by it, in exchange for several $100K in campaign contributions.

I have quoted from the article and supplied the link to an excellent article by Joseph Farah and World Net Daily done shortly after 911 making this link.

If the reports initial recommendations had been followed, there is a good chance 911 would have been thwarted.

I doubt that the Clinton administration's sabotage of the report had malicious intent - but the effect of Democrat greed and avarice is the same. Thousands died. Whether from this event, Sandy Berger calling off the hit on bin Laden, or a thousand and one other acts of negligence in protecting America, we will never know.

How Gore aborted air safety Sept. 24, 2001

Following the downing of TWA Flight 800 in 1996, Gore was entrusted by President Clinton to investigate airline safety. He was named chairman of the White House Commission on Aviation Safety.

The Gore commission produced what most observers considered to be a tough preliminary report unveiled Sept. 9 of that year ? one that included tough counter-terrorism procedures.

But within days, according to an insider on the commission, the airline industry jumped all over Gore. As a result, 10 days later, Gore sent a letter to airline lobbyist Carol Hallett promising that the commission's findings would not result in any loss of revenue.

In what can only be seen as a pure political payoff, the Democratic National Committee received $40,000 from TWA the next day. Within two weeks, Northwest, United and American Airlines ponied up another $55,000 for the 1996 campaign.

But the money trail didn't stop there. In the next two months leading up to the November elections, American Airlines donated $250,000 to the Democrats. United donated $100,000 to the DNC. Northwestern put $53,000 more into the kitty.

Following the election, in January, Gore floated a draft final report that eliminated all security measures from the commission's findings, according to the insider. Two commission members balked, as did CIA Director John Deutch.

I hear that. My wife’s sister is your stereotypical raving lunatic of a liberal who is very versed in the latest liberal talking points. I just go in the other room or I will come up with something “important” to do that I “forgot” and I’ll leave.

And this is why the Leftist viewpoint wins. Because conservatives value peace, and Leftists are more willing to scream out their viewpoints in such a way as to intimidate people with conservative viewpoints into keeping silent

Thankfully, the wall that separated the Hudson River from the subway did not fail. If that had happen the river would have flooded the subways tunnels.

Honestly, that slightly under 3,000 lost their lives in these attacks, ( Washington, PA, and NY) was somewhat miraculous.
