Centrists generally do not find cults of personality entertaining. The mass hypnosis reminds them of the mortgage frenzy -- all these people buying into a dream and not caring about the fine print.
The Republican Party, meanwhile, has given them a choice. This is despite the best efforts of its right wing to pick a candidate against whom any Democrat would be better. And the more the radicals beat up on the Arizona senator, the more he looks like a contender to moderate Democrats.

Moderate Democrats and independents are the ones that got him where he is and if he wins they will be the ones that do it. But that will not happen! As has been posted before, why vote for democrate socialist lite when you can vote for the real thing.

And I will repeat, as many of us have an other similar threads — that this man will prove to be the antichrist. Everything about him — his background, his heritage, his “cult” following that hints at the “Messiah,” the fact that he has raised crowds to a fevered pitch without having actually done anything in the past to cause such adoration. I am not a looneytunes, honest! There is no other explanation and he fits perfectly.

I hate it when they float statistics like this around, and act like it actually means something. 3% is not statistically significant. They skew it by using the words "while" and "only".

Obama as the nominee scares the hell out of me, because he's taken a page from Reagan's winning book - optimism.
Reagan pulled in a lot of people who wouldn't have supported his policies because he was optimistic. He loved America and saw only the best in her. Obama's using the same rhetoric, and all we can offer in return is the sourpuss pessimist McCain.

I heard many stories from my mother (born 1920) in Germany about WWII and Hitler (my aunt was a Hitler youth). But the difference there was that Germany was in shambles after WWI.
No matter how the MSM try to degrade the economy, the evidence is clear for future growth.
I can’t believe the American voter, cynical as they may be, will fall for this BS.
