D.C. Madam was Killed to Protect Politicians
The Globe (Yes, I still know!) ^ | 19MAY08 | Staff

Posted on 05/11/2008 10:46:33 AM PDT by bannie

Notorious D.C. Madam Debra Palfrey, whose long list of powerful prostitution clients kept the nation's lawmakers quaking, was murdered!

That's the buzz rocking the Internet and filtering through political circles after she was found hanging by a nylon rope in a shed next to her mother's home in Tarpon Springs, Fla., earlier this month.

Just weeks before her death, Palfrey, 52, had been found guilty of running a call-girl service that catered to Washington's power brokers.

She faced four to six years in prison and was stated to be sentenced on July 24 but was appealing the vereict.

So far, police are treating Palfrey's death as a suicide--but suspicions run rampant that she was killed to prevent her from naming clients.

"This was a woman who was still appealing," wrote an Internet poster. "Why would she kill herself if she was trying to clear her name? She had big-name clients. Any one of them could have easily had her killed. It happens."

Hustler magazine pulbisher Larry Flynt, who was one of Palfrey's strongest supporters, believes she was murdered and says the medis "should be very cautious in treating this as a suicide."

Louisiana senator and father of four David Vitter has already admitted being a client of Palfrey's escort service.

Sources say she was in a position to being several other Washington bigwigs to heel.

National security expert and journalist Wayne Madsen claims Vice President Dick Cheney is among the heavy-weights on Palfrey's list.

"This case smells," a Beltway insider tells GLOBE.

"It's just too convenient. She knew she could ruin a number of D.C.'s biggest players--and they knew it too!"

Chillingly, Plafrey told an interviewer in March, "No, I'm not planning on committing suicide. I'm planning on going into court and defending myself vigorously--and exposing the government."

Again...this is from the GLOBE.

"Globe accuracy" is an oxymoron.

Still...here it is.

Could Hillary be involved, like she was in the murder of Vince Foster? This time to protect her and Bill’s reputation and her waning chance at the presidency.

I’m sure the thought had occurred to many already, Globe or no Globe.

That’s the best thing about conspiracy theories...... You need not a single shred of evidence to have a good theory.

if I remember correctly, the National Enquirer broke the Monica Lewinsky story. Everybody said ‘oh, it’s just the Enquirer,’ but it turned out to be true.

She also stated she couldn’t go back to prison. Its a shame she and the other prostitute “killed themselves” and were facing significant jail time when their Johns continue to lead privileged lives.

This was from a woman who runs a twelve step program helping people leave the sex industry, 11 days ago:

I was in regular contact with Jeanne Palfrey. I don’t believe it
was suicide. It’s too “coincidental” also - when Brandy
Britton “supposedly” killed herself (a woman who worked for Palfrey
as an escort), the media reported she’d also hung herself. A proper
investigation was never done (I contacted the police and they just
wrote it up as suicide). Jeanne was even quoted as saying she
would never do such a thing when they asked her about Brandy’s
death. There have been other madams also found hung - one even
supposedly in her own jail cell (which I don’t believe either). I
had warned Jeanne many times about the potential for being murdered
with the high profile road she decided upon - and she told me she
was scared and this was one of the reasons she was with her mother
in the first place. I had told her when I was having cops try and
kill me during my arrest in the 1980’s - I went to stay with my mom
because I didn’t think they would dare kill me while staying with my
mother and grandmother (who was in her 70’s at the time). Jeanne
was very pumped about a movie deal, book deal, a documentary, and
she probably was even working on her appeal. I knew something
was “weird” when I went to email her last week and found her website
had been taken down and her email closed. Knowing people wanted her
dead and knowing her personality - I don’t think she’d give anyone
the satisfaction of killing herself. Does anyone know where the
rest of her phone records are?

Heidi Fleiss disappeared from her Pahrump home a few weeks ago.
People in regular contact with her tell me they don’t know where
she’s at. It’s like she’s gone underground.

Joe Richards published a piece recently in his paper that some guy
came up to him and tried to kidnap him - but he fought the guy off.

Buffalo Jim, threatened many times by mob guys, has been found dead.

I have been told someone is offering a cash reward for where I’m
physically living by a couple of people in the town I’m in now (I
felt too unsafe in Vegas and moved out a few months ago).

Something really strange is going on.

I can’t believe the papers can get away with such smears without having to present a shred of evidence. Can’t Cheney sew them?

IIRC, Drudge broke Monica, but most of the major outlets had it. They were just going to spike it to protect the Clintons.

The Enquirer broke the story about Belushi. The press was letting it pass as an OD, but Belushi was nearly comatose, and a girlfiend gave him a speedball. Of course, Belushi was going to die from an OD at some point, anyway, kind of like Morrison, Joplin, Hendrix, Farley and River Phoenix.

So we have, as champions of this theory, Larry Flynt and a liberal engaging in every liberal's wet dream - finally getting these people.

I do not know for a fact that the woman wasn't murdered, but I don't find this convincing yet.

No. Not until Cheney gets a Singer machine.

There are rumors about high level politicos and big shot television reporters being 'regulars.' Copies of Palfrey's detailed phone logs have been recopied and put into safe keeping. Some copies are in the possession of reporters who were not customers. There will be many humiliated power players and red faces in D.C.

This may be a full Foster redux in a real trailer park, no less.

Dick Cheney....LOL; with his heart condition, I’m sure he’s running around looking for Madams to obtain services.

Wonder if she supplies the Viagra.

I have friends who know people in the relevant police department. From what I hear, the local cops have no doubt whatsoever that it was suicide.

FWIW, most female suicides I've seen are not successful, and are usually either by pills or wrist-slashing. I don't think I've ever been on a female suicide call where she shot herself or hung herself. Women tend to not want to mess up their bodies, although I do know of a couple that jumped from heights.

Men tend to shoot themselves, jump, or go for a big wreck. Quite a few wrecks are actually suicides. Some guys also go for suicide by cop, where they put the police in a situation where they have no choice but to shoot.

“I have friends who know people in the relevant police department. From what I hear, the local cops have no doubt whatsoever that it was suicide.”

I live a short way from Tarpon Springs. The local news supports that they think its suicide.

That said; is there any doubt these people could make it look like suicide if they really wanted to.

I hope he can sue Madsen.

The tabloids have worked out their defense: They always say, “Sources say,” “experts say,” “insiders say” or, lately, “Internet bloggers say.”

They’ve learned their lessons.

I do hope, however, that the likes of Madsen can be sued.
