Would this really pass muster with snopes? How can the guy green his house and wind up with a bigger bill? It makes no sense.

I took a shot at Climate Entrepreneurship as well. Ebay refused to let me sell my Carbon Credit.

Ebay Thinks Carbon Credits Are BS

Don't know but do know that Gore is a hypocrite.

Would this really pass muster with snopes?

Would Snopes publish anything negative about another leftist?

“How can the guy green his house and wind up with a bigger bill? It makes no sense.”

By using the same “Science” as that promoting Global Warming.

Do you dispute the data, which has been widely circulated. Gore has yet to deny the facts, which are available thru public records.

How can the guy green his house and wind up with a bigger bill? It makes no sense.

Of course it could make sense. Perhaps he and his family spent more time in the house than they did the preceeding year raising usage despite the costs being cheaper. Weather conditions from one year to the next could also explain increased usage. Maybe he added some new electrical appliances, equipment, etc. There are a lot of reasons to explain an increase in usage.

The point is that this guy lives in mansion that consumes far more than the average person's home. Yet, Gore continues to ask the average American to sacrifice to control global warming while he lives a lifestyle that is profligate in the use of energy. It is the definition of hypocrisy. Let them eat cake.

Is this like slamming the dollar while being invested in gold stocks? As in Ron Paul?

I don’t “dispute” the data, I question it. And things widely circulated on the internet, and things not denied, are not necessarily so.
The whole thing is unbelievable. Gore is regularly globetrotting, who’d stay home when the world is waiting to adore him? How many people living in his house? Why did all that upgreening result in a bigger bill?
And why is it we can get Gore’s utility bill but not Obama’s birth records?
All rhetorical questions, I don’t really expect anyone to have actual answers.
(Just in case anyone thinks I’m defending Algore: not. There are plenty of ways to nail him for hypocrisy, the Original Sin among Democrats and adolescents everywhere. Needing to prove it is like needing to convince someone of the heliocentric model.)

Is there a fair and balanced snopes-like body out there?

Good for Al. He’s learned the game of capitalism and has profited quite nicely.

I don’t “dispute” the data, I question it. And things widely circulated on the internet, and things not denied, are not necessarily so.

The Tennessee Center for Policy Research, a Nashville-based free market think tank and watchdog organization, obtained information about Gore’s home energy use through a public records request to the Nashville Electric Service.

If you still "question it," I suggest you call up the Center and go into the detail further. I, for one, do not question the data.

The whole thing is unbelievable. Gore is regularly globetrotting, who’d stay home when the world is waiting to adore him? How many people living in his house? Why did all that upgreening result in a bigger bill?

I gave you some possibilities. It is not "unbelievable."

(Just in case anyone thinks I’m defending Algore: not. There are plenty of ways to nail him for hypocrisy, the Original Sin among Democrats and adolescents everywhere. Needing to prove it is like needing to convince someone of the heliocentric model.)

I applaud the Tennessee Center for Policy Research for exposing Gore's hypocrisy in a way that the average person can relate to. Unfortunately, the majority of the American people believe in man-made global warming. And more importantly, the majority of Congress and the two current candidates for President believe it and want to implement cap and trade legislation, which will wreck our economy.

”Gore is a hypocrite and a fraud when it comes to his commitment to the environment, judging by his home energy consumption. ...

Every time I make this observation to a lib I get a similar reply; “But he’s a ‘messenger’ and therefore can not be criticized.” I’ll never understand this logic, but that’s how a lot of libs think/feel. Its like talking to a wall!

“But he’s a ‘messenger’ and therefore can not be criticized.”

That is the motivation behind limousine liberalism: deflect envy from the envy tortured masses. It's a strategy to keep their wealth and it works great for them. They pay lip service to raising taxes while doing everything to avoid them. Warren Buffet is a master at this. The left is fondly in love with him yet he does not donate much to the Democrats and despite being an advocate for higher death taxes has made arrangements not to pay a dime of them.
