Obama's Cloward-Piven Strategy
The American Thinker ^ | 2/7/2009 | Nancy Coppock

Posted on 02/18/2009 4:06:44 AM PST by AJMCQ

Using borrowed money for a band-aid bailout of the economy should seem backwards to most people. However, it likely is a planned strategy to promote radical change. Those naively believing that President Obama is simply rewarding his far-left base, and will then move to the political center, must wise up.

The assumption that Obama will need the nation to prosper in order to protect the 2010 mid-term election incorrectly assumes that he esteems free market capitalism. He does not. Rather than win through superior ideas and policies, the Democrat plan for success in the mid-term elections is to win by destroying political opposition.

Obama adheres to the Saul Alinksy Rules for Radicals method of politics, which teaches the dark art of destroying political adversaries. However, that text reveals only one front in the radical left's war against America. The Cloward/Piven Strategy is another method employed by the radical Left to create and manage crisis. This strategy explains Rahm Emanuel's ominous statement, "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste."

The Cloward/Piven Strategy is named after Columbia University sociologists Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven. Their goal is to overthrow capitalism by overwhelming the government bureaucracy with entitlement demands. The created crisis provides the impetus to bring about radical political change.

According to Discover the Networks.org:

Rather than placating the poor with government hand-outs, wrote Cloward and Piven, activists should work to sabotage and destroy the welfare system; the collapse of the welfare state would ignite a political and financial crisis that would rock the nation... [Emphasis added.]

Making an already weak economy even worse is the intent of the Cloward/Piven Strategy. It is imperative that we view the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan's spending on items like food stamps, jobless benefits, and health care through this end goal. This strategy explains why the Democrat plan to "stimulate" the economy involves massive deficit spending projects. It includes billions for ACORN and its subgroups such as SHOP and the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. Expanding the S-Chip Program through deficit spending in a supposed effort to "save the children" only makes a faltering economy worse.

If Congress were to allow a robust economy, parents would be able to provide for their children themselves by earning and keeping more of their own money. Democrats, quick to not waste a crisis, would consider that a lost opportunity.

The Cato Institute reports that the plan will harm a faltering economy, intentionally causing increased job losses leading to increased demands for the aforementioned programs. Even the jobs to be created are set apart to render social justice, not economic revival. Robert Reich believes new infrastructure jobs should not go to white construction workers. Meanwhile, workers at Microsoft, IBM, Texas Instruments, and the retail market find themselves experiencing the life of the welfare poor.

If highly educated and trained workers continue to lose jobs and business falters as a whole, where will these jobless workers go? Could this be construed as revolutionary social reorganization that puts the underachiever above the achiever? Where is the future economic strength when jobless professionals collect welfare and unemployment while dreaming of a minimum wage job? For whites, there's not even the hope of a good paying construction job.

Because these programs are financed with deficit spending, the effect of the Cloward/Piven Strategy becomes doubly destructive. Talk about a perfect storm! The Democrat stimulus plan is a mechanism whose goal is the destruction of the traditional American way of life. It is bitter irony that the American taxpayer will actually fund the destruction of his own ability to live according to the values of our Founding Documents. It is not alarmist to identify this situation as a coup d'etat.

As the flow of money from the top of the economy dries up, job losses and mortgage busts will mount exponentially. The Democrat stimulus plan provides for welfare expansion but not for a robust economy that creates high paying jobs. Is this what Obama means when he warns, "It's going to get worse before it gets better?" If we are not bailing out corporate America so they can regain profitability, we must conclude Obama is working toward another end goal. Recognizing these attack methods reveals the only logical response -- an unwavering wall of "No!"

I'm sorry if this is a repost. I've been hearing Cloward Piven tossed abaout quite a bit lately. Considering the pre election, $550 million attack on our banking system on September 18th and considering the very words of George Soros (1997) about how dangerous he feel capitalism is: http://www.mtholyoke.edu/acad/intrel/soros.htm, I don't know how you can't connect the dots. Soros is running the show.

They cannot control all elections

Americans are impatient as well as being easily deceived

Americans cannot stand pain and the President is always blamed for the economy and alinsky cannot change that fact

2010 is a mid term election and Americans almost always make the party that controls the White House give up seats

Check rasmussenreports.com and smile at what polls say would happen if the 2010 election were held today... and only a few weeks into the marxist/sharia regime

Unfortunately, divining what liberals, leftists, Marxist’s, Socialist’s will do in the future is more a dart throw, or an attempt to understand women, or a crap shoot. There are some odds, but they are mostly against you.

Well, as a woman, I have no trouble understanding myself. As to the looters, the bill is now out there for analysis. The money doesn’t really start to flow until 2014. There will be a job increase, but wages are going to be lower, because of low productivity. Meanwhile, all sorts of taxes unrelated to income are going to hit everyone hard, but especially the donk base.

As women struggle to stretch each dollar, as white collar educated professionals and others begin to experience living as the welfare class already does (insecurity, never enough cash flow, endless bureaucracy, etc), they are going to find their blood pressure and their angst rising by the day. As people turn off the TV because they simply don’t have the extra $60-$70 month with the increased taxes, they will be less inculcated and more dependent upon their own perceptions, which is going to lead to an increased cynicism towards zerO and the donks and the welfare state.
If we are cold and eating beans and rice while the elite donks are taking beach vacations, dining publicly on steak and while preaching sacrifice, there will come a point where no one will take any more of their s&!t. Meanwhile, it has been less than a month and Putin has warned us not to go too far towards socialism,

We need to just take back enough seats in each House and in each State legislature to impede these evil clowns until 2012 and then take back even more. If zerO wins re-election due to fraud,it is going to be totally understood by the citizens and many are going to become even more cynical, if possible. Eight (please, God, NO!) years of this means that people will remember the Bush years as the Golden Age.

I think we win in both of the next midterms and can use that to delay or refuse funding for the porkulus bills and the intrusive plans the thieves and looters and moochers have put into motion. By 2016, we will take back the presidency.Every bit of failure will be 100% owned by the donks and zerO. They are trying to sell it as “the Republicans are blocking Utopia.” But they have passed and will pass so much before 2010, the GOP is going to be seen as the righteous defenders of the American Way of Life.

The odds are changing as we speak. However, darts and craps both take some skills. In darts, it is hand-eye co-ordination and in craps, it is knowing how to spread your bets. As for women, we want some freedom, ease and joy in our lives and the lives of our families. We really do not like being lied to. And when we have had enough, we will throw the smooth-talking baby daddy and the pretentious blowhard out the window and get what we need for ourselves.

Meanwhile, it is going to be painful.

But it's not.

My guess is that the Dems don't care what happens in the next 1 1/4 or so years, even if their popularity dives.

Around Jun '10 or so they ramp up their propoganda machine again...blaming all ills on the rich again, and digging up a totally irrelevant hit piece on Bush which they pump across the airwaves day after day.

It works.

I disagree... the dims may not be able to appear in public when things turn bad... and the President and his party own the bad economy... and people know that hussein lied to them... no mortgage payments... not car payments and no relief checks.

I hope you're right.

But the Dems' strategy lately has been to blast the airwaves with lies for 2 months straight before Nov. 4.

They may suffer in popularity for months, but they know they can rise up through the pounding of their hate-hype for a concerted period of time. ("Repeat a lie often enough, etc....")

Happened with Bush's DUI, Mark Foley, Sarah Palin, etc.

IMO they have a team already planning the next onslaught for just about Sept 1. '10 or so to make sure they hold the Congress.

Again, hope I'm wrong and you're right.

I think the problem is much, much deeper.

Democrats are guilty as hell, but I don't see the Republicans as being much better.

Personally, on economic issues, I don't think either party is in control. We have a permanent, non-partisan faction that controls the massive Federal government today, and they pull the strings to insure that they perpetuate their own existence.

I think that at the higher levels, government has become its own industry and like any private business, will do what is necessary to raise revenues and increase market share year-over-year.

Unlike private business however, they use the force of law as their primary marketing tool.

As much as I love Ronald Reagan, even he did not shrink the government. At best he was just a speed bump to the growth of the monster. Since him, no one else has even attempted to slow them down.

IMHO, our Republic is in danger of becoming powerless to the permanent government bureaucracy who call all the shots.

If we are to break this cycle, I think Constitutional Conservatives have to start thinking differently and not fixate on the partisan aspects.

I don't know what the answer is, but the Newt Gingrich tactic of 'slowing the growth' of government sure as hell didn't work.

Maybe we need to let it crash and burn and start all over.

Either way, my kids and grand kids are in for some rough sledding, but hopefully, they will be able to enjoy that almost forgotten concept called liberty on their ride. My grandparents had a rough ride too, but they loved the liberty part of it.

Defending Conservatives Against Liars - A Lesson From the Wisdom of Job

**********************************************************

Monday, January 19, 2009

The recent worldwide news blitz of Rush Limbaugh’s/Magic Negro satire offers an excellent lesson from The Book Job to counter attacks on conservative leaders. William Safire’s book The First Dissident: The Book of Job in Today's Politics describes Job as a political dissident not only for demanding to plead his case before the ultimate authority, but also for his refusal to accept the democratic abuses of his friends. The Joban story applies to today’s conservative leadership that denounces fellow members for minor faults rather than pointing their attention to our political adversaries. The Book of Job offers important insights to avoid this error.

The Joban story revolves around a wager made between Lucifer and God concerning the faith of Job. Lucifer, aka The Accuser, makes the charge Job worships God only because God has favored him. "Allow me to touch all the he has, and he will curse You to Your face", Lucifer accuses. God accepts the challenge. Lucifer is allowed to destroy Job's family and wealth through senseless tragedies. Job's wife finally encourages him to "Curse God and die". When Job’s three friends come to comfort him, they instead begin a series of debates to convince him of an offense to God. Job defends his integrity and finally demands to plead his case before God.

When God appears He overwhelms Job with His power. Job then repents in dust and ashes. Job is now a man forever changed by the presence of God and certain his Redeemer, or Advocate, lives. Lucifer is a cosmic loser, Job's friends get a dressing down from the Almighty for not speaking correctly about Him, and Job is restored twofold in family and wealth. Job's friends are then required to offer a sacrifice, but only the interceding prayer of Job will restore them with God.

The methods of The Accuser are politics erased of character and ethics. It is not without reason Saul Alinsky dedicates Rules for Radicals - "To the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom – Lucifer." Luciferian politics allows the shadiest of characters to freely cast stones at every righteous but flawed man.

The radical left, who hold themselves to no such standards, hold conservatives to a standard of near-perfection. The error of conservative leadership is the same as that of Job’s friends: accepting the premise of the left’s charge and offering self-righteous “help.” The accused is caught in the crossfire. Despite the good intentions of conservative leadership, the effects are the same as if their intentions were bad. Results are every bit as important as intentions and Job’s friends were wrong because Job was innocent.

Consider the Middle Name of Obama Brouhaha:

1) Opportunity - Obama's middle name matches that of brutal Middle Eastern dictator.

2) Method -- Luciferians create logic that use of Obama's middle name equals calling him an Islamic Terrorist.

3) Results -- The media destroys the character of anyone using "Hussein" and useful idiots pile on. The GOP discredits own members.

4) Nihilistic Reality -- Obama declares intent to use full name in swearing in ceremony verifying the false nature of the entire saga.

Rush Limbaugh explains the current Magic Negro episode on his website:

They [MSM] took the occasion of what actually was the inappropriate use of elements of this program, (but that's another story). They took the occasion of somebody running for the RNC chairmanship sending out a CD that had this song on it to revive it anew, and frame it and cast it as they wanted it cast. The last person they wanted commenting on it was me because I'm the one who could have set it straight. Newt Gingrich couldn't set it straight because Newt Gingrich was clueless about what this was all about. Instead, Newt Gingrich sends a note to the Drive-By Media saying, "This is wholly inappropriate. I can't believe it! This is not how we reach out."

The Luciferian pattern of attack:

1) Opportunity -- Although Obama commented on the parody in 2007, the subject is brought up again via GOP chairman candidate Pete Saltsman’s c.d.

2) Method -- The Luciferians use the “Soap Opera Sucker Play” where everyone is consulted except the individual actually involved and ask Newt Gingrich his opinion.

3) Results -- Newt Gingrich blames Rush for the situation. Newt is separated from the conservative fellowship. The GOP is divided on issue.

4) Nihilistic Reality -- another untruth about Rush Limbaugh is established in the minds of the useful idiots. This will be helpful in establishing the need for The Fairness Doctrine.

The Luciferians are more empowered and lie in wait for next opportunity.

We must be astute to the ways of the accuser. Those in positions of power should consider who is making the accusation rather than rushing to give an answer to empower their own self-righteousness. Assuming, as did Job's friends and Newt Gingrich, that the one in the wrong is your dear old friend and ally is the error the Luciferians are lying in wait to record. Ronald Reagan was correct when he said, "Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican." The key word is FELLOW -- equal in values, integrity, and liberty, i.e. a republican.

In practice, this will require shrewdness on the part of conservative leaders; not that this should be news to those up on their scripture memory verses. When the accusing left presents an accusation of a fellow conservative:

1) Allow the targeted person to first set the record straight and make his defense. Then support that defense vigorously or remain quiet in public. Remember, you are not an omnipotent god knowing all the facts.

2) Remember this one undeniable truth: The left, like Lucifer, uses lies carefully -- enough truth to sound plausible but with a slight twist. It is the Luciferian way to trick the ill-informed into making a rash decision that bears a dear cost.

3) Never forget that while the powers of the air may promise a kingdom, power, and glory and may tempt your eyes with what looks good for food or to make one look wise, the result will be separation from the safety of the group. No one can please both the left and the right. Conservatives must remember the safety of both numbers and unity.

4) Always remember that today's left contains the most corrupt political mercenaries in the history of the nation. The perfect retort would be to tell them to clean up their own house and then list a few outrageous acts of corruption to back up your request. (That shouldn't be too hard considering the exponential evidence of political malfeasance.)

The Luciferian attacks on honorable, but flawed men can be overcome by maintaining personal integrity, supporting one another, and most importantly by directing unified ire upon the unrighteous nature of those making accusations. The power of good intentions receiving good results will banish the accuser from the court of public opinion. This is the transcendent nature of the wisdom taught in the Joban story. Conservatives must now use that wisdom through applied knowledge.
