“Relax, the same thing was said when the slaves were freed, women got the vote and blacks were allowed to marry whites.”
I’ve never heard of an African-American magically changing their skin color. The comparison of ethnicity and the choice of sexual behavior are a typical liberal lie.
My personal beliefs on this subject at this point should be known to all. While I find no basis to the charge of discrimination which is typically claimed by those in support of this measure, I can't help but think that ones moral belief system has to come into play in deciding a position on the subject. To this point the only legal justification for this has been derived from judicial fiat which seems to be in direct contradiction with the will of the electorate. If same sex marriage had so much support it would be sailing through our state legislatures and being signed into law by governors. This is not the case to this point (Vermont not withstanding). What has to be refuted is this notion of discrimination. As the author so adeptly points out, the same restrictions on marriage are placed on both heterosexuals as they are on homosexuals. Therefore a claim of discrimination is untenable. This point can not be stressed enough.
