MEEK PREZ ROLLS OVER & LETS FANATICS SET MUSLIM AGENDA
NY Post ^ | June 5, 2009 | Amir Taheri

PRESIDENT Obama's "ad dress to the Muslim world" was a masterwork of equivocation and political naiveté.

Let's start with a sentence buried within his text -- possibly in hopes that few might notice. With it, Obama effectively accepts Iran's nuclear ambitions.

"No single nation should pick and choose which nations should hold nuclear weapons," he said.

He wasn't prepared to go further than warning that an Iranian bomb could mark the start of a Middle East nuclear arms race.

Unlike his previous statements, the Cairo speech didn't include the threat of any action -- not even further sanctions -- against the Islamic Republic. The message was clear: America was distancing itself from United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Obama also abandoned President Bush's freedom agenda in support of Middle East democratic movements, saying: "No system of government can or should be imposed on one nation by another."

Of course, America didn't "impose" any system of government on Afghanistan or Iraq. All it did was to remove impediments to democracy in those countries. A majority of Afghans and Iraqis, and perhaps even "Muslims around the world," don't regret the demise of Mullah Omar, a fanatical cleric, or Saddam Hussein, a brutal secular despot.

PRESIDENT Obama's "ad dress to the Muslim world" was a masterwork of equivocation and political naiveté.

My quibble is that he's not equivocating and being naive in throwing in with Muslim extremsists just the same as he is not economically incompetent in nationalizing industries. Everything Milhouse is doing is deliberate. So if he's kowtowing to the Muslim extremists, it's because he wants to do that not because he's getting rolled. Same with nationalizing industries. He's not doing that because he is paving the road to hell with good economic intentions. He doing that because he's a statist and state control of industries is his goal.

We have to stop making him out to be a doofus who's in over his head. It just allows him to do more of the planned destruction of the country with impunity.

For the life of me I don’t get it. Why is the U.S. president “reaching out” to the muslim world. This is bizarre. If anything, shouldn’t the muslim world be reaching out to America?

Muslim fanatics have murdered many innocent Americans and continue to do so. Shouldn’t the “peace loving” muslims be making overtures to those who were attacked to make amends and pave the way to living in harmony? Something is upside down here.

“No single nation should pick and choose which nations should hold nuclear weapons,”

I was not aware of that little tidbit. 0bama sure isn’t that bright, not that he writes his own speeches regardless...

It is not “one single nation” that opposes Iranian nuclear weapons, but 0bama’s favorite, the UN.

When combined with his other nuclear/military blind spots, it’s quite disturbing:

“We will not weaponize space.”

We already have military systems in space, and space-capable weapons. Further, our enemies are developing space weapons - are we to simply ignore the threat? Naive once again.

“I will work towards a world with no nuclear weapons.”

That would accomplish several things. First of all, America will continue to relinquish a capability which every other nation greatly respects. Second, as the stockpiles reach lower and lower levels, at some point nuclear war becomes thinkable again. Third (if we get this far), once nuclear weapons are gone, large scale conventional war becomes thinkable again. World War III anyone?

Dangerously irresponsible, and naive. What we actually need is a nuclear weapons modernization program, including a functioning breeder reactor and the production of new plutonium pits.

Overall, 0bama represents a multifaceted threat to a stable, prosperous America. Wake up everyone!

Yep, everything he does has a purpose. He’s not naive or stupid. President Unicorn’s quest for “fairness” will be our ruin.

threatened to prosecute those who don't allow US Muslim women to cover their hair.

Huh? If this was in 'the speech,' I must have missed it. Of course, I miss them all. Listening to Obama talk makes my skin crawl.

I'm curious as to what makes anyone think Obama doesn't set his own agenda.

I agree with Mark Levin also but I also KNOW that because hussein believes what he does... that makes him dumber than a box of rocks... and he is NO orator... nor scholar... nor Patriot. He is a muslim communist traitor.

Obama was quoted in the article — “No single nation should pick and choose which nations should hold nuclear weapons,” he said.

Of course no single nation should do that! Only a “New World Order” should have that power... LOL...

I don’t know about prosecute, but I do know he said something about America fighting for the “right” of women to wear the hajib or whatever that is called. I guess it will be ok for women to wear burkas while driving soon.

Of course he does. It’s the same one he’s been following since gramps talked communism to him and introduced him to “Uncle” Frank Davis, CPUSA. He’s been consistent, down through the Ayers and Wright years. He’s surrounded himselves with wacko lefties just like himself. Birds of a feather.

I saw one article this morning that suggested that Hussein was “trying to get in touch with his inner Muslim.” I think that’s about it. It must be something like middle-aged, lapsed Catholics who try to get back into the good graces of the church.

"No single nation should pick and choose which nations should hold nuclear weapons," he said.

Unknowingly, he gave Israel the green light to do what has to be done.

I am not sure he wasn't referring to Israel as opposing Iranian nukes.

His appeasement mentality will empower these irrational fanatics. It’s a clear signal of weakness - like trying to please the bully in the school yard. The bully just smells blood in the water.
