You Might Be a Misogynist if...you don't want Letterman fired.

There are not many mere words which will cause my normally quietly-simmering, red blood to boil over, but the things David Letterman has said on his show regarding a 14 year-old girl, and his ensuing non-apologies are in this league. That he now claims the remarks were aimed at Bristol Palin, a few years older than the younger sister, Willow, who was in New York with her mother, when he joked about her "being knocked up by Rodriguez" in the 7th inning, is a ridiculous ruse aimed at covering his own scrawny backside.

David Letterman should lose his public forum immediately, as he has proven unworthy of it in all respects. He hasn't even enough decency to know what a vile, unforgivable thing he has done.

David Letterman should lose his public forum immediately, as he has proven unworthy of it in all respects. He hasn't even enough decency to know what a vile, unforgivable thing he has done.

I am firmly convinced that the perpetrators of sexual abuse and rape, of both girls and women (and boys), are intrinsically deformed in their very souls. Sexual abuse is the most primitive and the most absolute of personal violations, from which many females never fully recover. In fact, psychiatrists have deemed sexual abuse to be "soul murder," and say that it is the most psychologically harmful among the entire spectrum of abuse scenarios. Exactly why this is so remains a scientific mystery. But whatever the cause, civilized people have known for many centuries that misogyny that is acted out on the body of a girl or woman is a supreme violation of all that is good.

So, for David Letterman to even think in his private thoughts of making a 14 year-old girl the object of his wicked rape fantasy is purely beyond the pale. For him to actually speak aloud the picture-perfect words to that effect is ground for his being shunned from all polite company. For him to go to the extent of saying this on the national air waves, the most public of all public forums, is grounds for immediate dismissal, in my opinion.

Letterman has made himself a verbal "flasher," sinking to the lowest of the low. He is now lower than a rodent in the trashiest gutter and ought to be treated as such. He does not even deserve to call himself a man.

No genuine respecter of women could think otherwise, in my opinion.

I didn’t want Don Imus fired and I don’t want Letterman fired. If people don’t like the type of humor or commentary presented on a program they should change the channel.

The problem is, there are no channels left to change to since this type of “humor” is considered acceptable by the left.

That about says it. David Lettermann is a perverted ass. He has shown himself to be wedded to the dregs of society who enjoy personal perversions at the expense of decent and innocent people. And even children aren’t safe from his demented mind.

Lettermann, there’s a place in hell waiting for you. Enjoy your useless and debase life while you have the time. You won’t like what’s in store.

Letterman's comments suggest he has some interesting thoughts about 14 year old girls.

It's no longer a "change the channel" deal ~ the people watching had no reason to expect Ol'Dave was Ol'Lech.

Best he be moved to a channel where they pay for that stuff, or maybe to a padded cell or something.

Your failure to show greater sensitivity regarding the interaction of 62 year old lechers and 14 year old girls will be noted (by someone I'm sure).

I agree. Those people who are angry enough should boycott and organize boycotts of sponsors of the show. Let the market decide. If enough sponsors leave the show, he will be out of work.

I used your second link to send a message to Redstone and CBS. I used what I wrote in post #5, and added:

"In the meantime, Unless CBS desires to be remembered in the same vile class as their dreg of a show host, they will terminate his employment and find someone intelligent, gifted and honorable to fill the slot. I don't expect this to happen because such thinking, I suspect, is de rigueur for the mindless wimps at CBS.

Their inaction speaks volumes.

Nothing will happen. They're all alike.

I do not think this is so much about getting him fired as it is to show that the right is not going to take it anymore. What Letterman did goes way beyond the cyberbully which has in some cases caused kids to end their own lives. He is a national on air bully and bullies need a bloody nose.

Sarah’s kids seem to just shake this off. But it must cost them in some way. If Hannity were to attack the One’s kids in any way, it would be met with a firestorm from the left and rightly so. If Sarah is to run in 2012, she needs to know that we have her back and that of her kids. We can and should do a great big firestorm over this.

While we understand that we can change the channels, and in fact I never watch DL, we object to his using the airwaves to preach this sick comedy to the ones who do watch and are in his audience. Believe it or not there are some really sick people who watch, voyeurs may be the word.

He is giving the Green Light to rape at will, and there are those in the crowd that will see it that way. Well, David Letterman said it was ok, and people laughed, so why not. Rape is NEVER funny.

What channel do I go to in order to see and hear major late night hosts or stars making such rude comments about Obama’s certifiable hateful and ugly wife, or his two nappy headed chillin having sex with adult baseball players?

“Humor” must avoid persistent, hateful and sexual innuendo against ANY politician —— unless they treat ALL of them the same way... They don't...

So this type “humor” isn't humor at all - it POLITICAL assassination by ridicule
A well known Marxist practice..

Letterman seems to stress that he meant to attack the 18 yr old, and she is fair game.

This, coming from a man old enough to be her grandfather who didn’t even marry the mother of his own child until well after the child was born. He disgusts me.

Having purchased a Nissan in January, and seeing that Nissan is an apparent sponsor of the David Lettermann Show, I sent Nissan of America the following email:

I am of the understanding that Nissan is a sponsor of the David Lettermann Show on CBS.

David Lettermann's remarks about Todd and gov. Sarah Palin's 14 year old daughter earlier this week show that David Lettermann is a perverted ass. He has shown himself to be wedded to the dregs of society who enjoy personal perversions at the expense of decent and innocent people. And even children aren’t safe from his demented mind.

I can only conceive that anyone who continues to sponsor this show displays an affinity for Letterman's misogynist views, and considers them mainstream.

Should Nissan continue to sponsor this deranged individual and his show, I will never, ever consider buying another Nissan product. I don't associate with perverts.

“If people don’t like the type of humor or commentary presented on a program they should change the channel.”

Uh, humor?

Well, thank you for sharing your sexual proclivities with us. Rape is funny stuff....yessireeeeee!!

There are a lot of “funny guys” sitting in prisons that have acted out those fantasies and violent acts. I hope they laugh themselves into early graves.

As one Freeper remarked yesterday I’m sure the FBI would find plenty of probable cause if they ever examined Lettermen’s computer.

You did the right thing.  We have to brake the silence of the 'silent majority' in order to stop the leftist assault on individuals they disagree with.  Takes time, but will work!

Agree we can make our views known...
I am recopying a post I put on another Fr thread about this issue:

Just in case you think your voices are not heard.....

I put a comment on the Intel corporate blog yesterday...of course it never made it cause I am sure they are still “reviewing it”.

So today I tried calling the Intel corp for over half an hour...kept getting one voice mail after another...
Finally, I left a message for one of their Investor Relations Regional Managers.

Within an hour I got a sincere voice mail message from him, “I am sorry you could not get through on the phone to Intel.
The person to contact about this subject is Suzanne Fallender and can be reached at suzanne.p.fallender@intel.com

So , I think the advertisers are taking this Letterman fiasco very seriously!

Keep at them!

Hmm.. I’m glad to see people standing up and taking notice. I’ve been personally refusing to do business with companies that fetishize and degrade women as sex objects in their advertising for years..

I’ll never do business with Target, Progressive, Burger King, Coca Cola, Sherwyn Williams, Moen, Ace Hardware, HP, or Volkswagen for as long as I live.
