Climate Change: The Sun And The Oceans Do Not Lie
Telegraph.co.uk ^ | July 11, 2009 | Christopher Booker

Even a compromised agreement to reduce emissions could devastate the economy - and all for a theory shot full of holes, says Christopher Booker. What makes this even odder is that the runaway warming predicted by their computer models simply isn't happening. Last week one of the four official sources of temperature measurement, compiled from satellite data by the University of Huntsville, Alabama, showed that temperatures have now fallen to their average level since satellite data began 30 years ago...In March, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which has a key role in President Obama's plans to curb CO2 emissions, asked one of its senior policy analysts, Alan Carlin, to report on the science used to justify its policy. His 90-page paper recommended that the EPA carry out an independent review of the science, because the CO2 theory was looking indefensible, while the "counter consensus'' view – solar radiation and ocean currents – seemed to fit the data much better. Provoking a considerable stir, Carlin's report was stopped dead, on the grounds that it was too late to raise objections to what was now the EPA's official policy.

Galileo was told to keep his geocentricism to himself, since it might confuse common people about the infallibility of scripture.

In the new era of austerity beginning 1/’13, let EPA be the first cabinet department decommissioned and building imploded.

They just want to be able to say in two years “Hey! Look! It’s working. The earth is cooler now.”

Al has no science degree, but he has made about 100 mil from his scheme according to data I read recently. When he finished his stint as VP, he was worth about 2 mil; 8 years later, due to his status as guru of global warming, he is worth 100 mil.

Personally, I think he should prosecuted for scamming people and govts. just like Bernie Madoff.

Obama couldn’t care less about the WAR, sad state of the Economy, the Environment or the state of Health care. All however, provide him with an excellent opportutnities to destroy the USA.

That much has become painfully obvious.

Al Gore would call Galileo a nazi.

"Provoking a considerable stir, Carlin's report was stopped dead, on the grounds that it was too late to raise objections to what was now the EPA's official policy."

There will need to be a sea change in Congress in 2010 to slow or stop this crap, and they (the politician's) need to know why it happened. Either one of these programs (C&T or Health Care reform) will destroy this nation. With Health care reform they are trying to hide the looming failure of SS and Medicare/Medicaid by doubling down. We have a problem and those problems need to addressed directly.

The UK papers are usually very strongly pro-AGW - to see this article is unusual!

The Pope's been called that, and his predecessor called Galileo a heretic.

The Telegraph, not so much. More like the New York Post in editorial slant.

What amazes me is the gullibility of people in accepting results of these climate forcasting models.
HELLO - THEY ARE RIGGED TO PROVIDE THE RESULTS THAT THE THEIR CREATORS WANT!!! I could create a model that says it will rain Leprechauns every St Patrick Day!

Yes, but that was the bad Church, this is the good EPA. Completely different situation.

Al Gore got a D in the required Natural Science core course he took at Harvard. And, as I recall, it was widely known among undergraduates as a “gut course.”
