National Guard asked to explain 'internment' jobs
World Net Daily ^ | August 7, 2009 | Bob Unruh

An ad campaign featured on a U.S. Army website seeking those who would be interested in being an "Internment/Resettlement" specialist is raising alarms across the country, generating concerns that there is some truth in those theories about domestic detention camps, a roundup of dissidents and a crackdown on "threatening" conservatives.

The ads, at the GoArmy.com website as well as others including Monster.com, cite the need for:

"Internment/Resettlement (I/R) Specialists in the Army are primarily responsible for day-to-day operations in a military confinement/correctional facility or detention/internment facility. I/R Specialists provide rehabilitative, health, welfare, and security to U.S. military prisoners within a confinement or correctional facility; conduct inspections; prepare written reports; and coordinate activities of prisoners/internees and staff personnel. The campaign follows by only weeks a report from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security warning about "right-wing extremists" who could pose a danger to the country – including those who support third-party political candidates, oppose abortion and would prefer to have the U.S. immigration laws already on the books enforced.

Wanted experienced warders to serve on boards managing interment camps.
Must have experience warder boarding.

Also interviewing for Internment Czar
Prefer candidates with czar and fettering experience.

**Maybe they’ll be needed at “Camp Gunfree?”**

Why do I get the feeling that they’re NOT planning on the Internment of ILLEGAL ALIENS or MUSLIMS??

# Provide command and control, staff planning, administration/logistical services, and custody/control for the operation of an Enemy Prisoner of War/Civilian Internee (EPW/CI) camp
# Provide command and control, staff planning, administration/logistical services, and custody/control for the operation of detention facility or the operation of a displaced civilian (DC) resettlement facility

They are quite clear on the civilian part.

We have detained--interned, imprisoned, whatever--tens of thousands of people in OIF. And many of the people doing the detaining are not trained detainers. That's how Lyndie England happened. Those detained will almost inevitably be released, so they are retrained to be productive citizens instead of terrorists. This is how counterinsurgency is done. We need I/R specialists to do it. We'll need them when Iran collapses and refugees and al-Quds agents flow into Iraq. We'll need them when North Korea collapses and the same mix of refugees and enemies flow south. I/R specialists are good things to have for the next few decades.

OTOH, maybe they are using flag@whitehouse.gov to put together a watchlist and they will arrest us all and ship us to black sites in Area 51 manned by bored Guardsmen on AT ... yeah, that's possible.

As I've posted before:clear back in the Clinton days, the National Guard/Army Reserve were being trained in crowd control using bayonets .The 20 something co-worker who was in the program stated he would bayonet unarmed American citizens who were only passively resisting if he was ordered

Only tyrants demand their citizens be unarmed.

I happen to know that the National Guard troops and most, if not all, of the regulars are people just like us. I really don’t see this internment thing going very far. Couple that with the vast extended families that most of us have and I believe that they’d have a pretty rough time. It might work with some of the dysfunctional types who have very tenuous family ties and who are in and out of detention anyway. But other than that, I don’t see this going anywhere.
