Why is National Guard recruiting for 'internment' cops?
2009 WorldNetDaily ^ | August 07, 2009 | Bob Unruh

An ad campaign featured on a U.S. Army website seeking those who would be interested in being an "Internment/Resettlement" specialist is raising alarms across the country, generating concerns that there is some truth in those theories about domestic detention camps, a roundup of dissidents and a crackdown on "threatening" conservatives.

The ads, at the GoArmy.com website as well as others including Monster.com, cite the need for:

"Internment/Resettlement (I/R) Specialists in the Army are primarily responsible for day-to-day operations in a military confinement/correctional facility or detention/internment facility. I/R Specialists provide rehabilitative, health, welfare, and security to U.S. military prisoners within a confinement or correctional facility; conduct inspections; prepare written reports; and coordinate activities of prisoners/internees and staff personnel.

The campaign follows by only weeks a report from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security warning about "right-wing extremists" who could pose a danger to the country – including those who support third-party political candidates, oppose abortion and would prefer to have the U.S. immigration laws already on the books enforced.

“From the national level, WND was told, officials were unaware of any such “internment facilities” at which there could be jobs to be available. “

How in the H-— can “officials” say they don’t know about it? Who placed the ads?

This is more WND stirring the pot. This MOS has been around since at least the 60’s.

Same ad, same wording, posted in 2005:

They are to be the guards at the camps for the people who are arrested, and jailed without trials, for not agreeing with the current Whitehouse squatter.

That is strange wording, indeed. I gather this is not for ordinary MP’s.

At first I thought ‘UNBELIEVABLE’ then I checked out the GoArmy.com website and it looks legitimate.

This is scary. I’ve been goggling FEMA concentration camps in the USA, and the more I see the more I believe.

If it smells like a skunk, and walks like a skunk ...

How can you pull up an ad from 2005 now?

Well Obama wants to be like Lincoln, and didn’t Lincoln have political enemies jailed?

I Bing’d specific language from the ad and found it. The ad says “posted November 2005”.

World Net Daily is garbage. Pathetic, disgusting, trash. They’re connecting dots that don’t connect to incite fear. Tossing chum in the water to draw sharks.

I almost wish JimRob would ban articles from WND.

How many Officials (or) Representatives have READ the healthcare or capntrade bills?

BTW, we are like minded on this.

I tend to agree.

The right wing whacks are saying almost the same garbage the left wing whacks used to say.

As long as they don't come for me, I'm fine with it.

Obama has a valid Birth certificate and I support Government Healthcare.

My only fault is I'm a pathological liar.

for not agreeing with the current Whitehouse squatter.

Ya know, that could be taken a couple of different ways.

both of which...work

The idea that Obama is going to toss all the conservatives, bloggers, gun owners etc into detention camps is tinfoil. It's not going to happen.

However the fact that the Army feels they might need internment cops is unsettling to say the least. They are thinking about a worst case scenario, great depression, mob violence, food riots, you name it. They are thinking about all possibilities for the next few years. Things could get better soon, or they could go to hell. The government always plans for every contingency.

How else are they going to handle all those people who have been reported to flag@whitehouse.com?

I would make the logical assumption that such expertise would be needed overseas in war zones. That makes sense to me. We already had to do that kind of thing in Iraq.

For a minute there, I thought you wrote it "wasn't" tinfoil. Good thing I re-read it before reporting you to flag@whitehouse.gov.
